Luke's POV (!)
"Luca . . . "
I yank away from Gabrial's lips, staring at him in complete shock. Oh God. Oh Goddy God God. He's looking at me with those grey eyes, his hair tangled from where my hands were. He was just . . . just looking. "What?"
He sighs lightly and traces his thumb across my cheek, then down to my lips. "You're confusing."
I mewl in longing and nibble his thumb, my eyes unfocused. All I want is for him to kiss me again. Just one more time? Gods, what I wouldn't do to stay attached to his lips forever. Well . . . I'd be dead. But happy. Dead happy. Oh God, did I really just think that?! Brain to mouth, brain to mouth! Do NOT under any circumstances say anything about being attached to his lips forever! He's looking at me again. What do I do?
"I'm going to see if the neighbors are okay, if they need anything," Nikita clears his throat from across the room, his tawny eyes glinting as he watches us. They flick to Gabrial and he asks, "You coming?"
Gabe glances at me before he stands up and nods. "Yeah," he says, crossing the room to the dreadlocked male. He glances over his shoulder one last time before his gray eyes settle on Syn. "Y'all can handle it for a few minutes while we're gone?"
"Mm," Syn says noncommitedly, nodding. "Go on, go be Big Bad Men."
Nikita laughs, and Gabe rolls his eyes. "Whatever, Princess," he smirks as he walks to the door and grabs his coat. He shrugs it on easily and nods at Nikita. "Let's go and get back."
"Sure you don't wanna give brother dearest another goodbye kiss?"
Gabe scowls and shoves the dreadlocked boy out in the snow, laughing. "Walk much?" he teases as he shuts the oak door with a loud bang.
I sigh lightly and bite my lip, looking at my hands. "Well great..."
WHOOMP.
I squirm on my stomach, trying to dislodge whatever thing has landed on me this time. I squirm for a bit before I realize that it's Syn and scowl, flipping over to glare at him. "You're an asshole," I spit. "Get off of me!"
"Nope," he replies, straddling my hips as he smirks down at me. "What happened to 'I'm not gonna let Gabrial back in my life, he can stay out for all I care!'?" When I open my mouth, but no sound comes out, he snickers.
My face flames red and I glare off to the side. "Asshole," I mutter.
"You love it."
"Wait," I say, looking back at him. "What about you and Nikita?"
He shrugs. "What about him?"
I reach up and tug one of his black dreads, looking directly into his beautiful honey-brown eyes. "You didn't use to have these. You used to let your hair go crazy in a lion's mane."
"Maybe I want to let it be more tame?"
"Syn."
"Luca."
I huff and push at his chest, frowning when he doesn't move. Damn, this kid his skinnier than me and I can't even shove him off of me? Wow, I really am a damsel in distress, aren't I? Maybe I should go to the gym. Ooh, then I can see that cute boy Ryan shirtless. Mm, yes. . . Lukey likes that idea.
"Luke!" Syn swats my chest. "God, you really went off in your own little world that time."
I blink sleepily. "Wha...?"
"Nothing," he says with a grin. "Nothing at all, Luke."
I scramble out from under him and jump up and down, my eyes shining. "Yes, yes! I won!"
