I cupped the mug tighter in my hands as I glared hatefully out of one of the window in Daniel's apartment. After Zane had disappeared out of sight I had thanked Sam for the warning but slipped away the first chance I had gotten. I had come here and told Daniel the events that had transpired.
Daniel was now out there tracking Joey, Chris, Liam, Ella, Ally, Rachel and the twisted twins. He wanted them here so that we could discuss our plans for rescuing Zane and killing Lucifer. I didn't want to speak with the people that were coming here but I knew that we had a limited amount of time to finish this or we could very well lose Zane and our alliance with Hannah and Steph.
I placed the coffee mug onto the kitchen counter with a heavy heart. I didn't want Zane to be taken away from me the way he had. I had just let him back into my life and Lucifer stole him from me.
I let out a loud sigh the moment a pair of strong hands landed on my shoulders. I spun around to find Sam standing in the kitchen with an apologetic smile on his lips.
"They will kill you if they found you here," I stated.
Sam shrugged his shoulders. "I honestly don't think your group of heroes could do such a thing."
"Daniel, Hannah and Steph," I listed. Sam raised an eyebrow and forced me to shed some light on the matter. "They won't hesitate to kill you."
Sam let out a sardonic laugh. "They could try but I'm a skilled fighter."
"And so are they," I snapped.
Sam rolled his eyes at me as he moved around the kitchen grabbing a mug of his own and he began pouring himself a coffee. I clenched my teeth together as I watched him make himself comfortable in his enemy's home.
The door to Daniel's apartment opened and I shot Sam a warning glance. He chuckled at my attempts of trying to kick him out as he sipped his coffee. Within a matter of minutes the group was standing in the kitchen and they all narrowed their eyes the moment they saw Sam.
Joey stepped in front of his sister and crossed his arms over his chest. "What's he doing here?" he demanded.
"I don't know but he was just leaving," I replied while emphasizing the word 'leaving'.
Sam placed his mug on the kitchen table and grinned at them all. "I'm not going anywhere."
Daniel stepped out from the crowd with a look that suggested that he would snap Sam' neck the moment he got the chance.
"Get out of my apartment!" Daniel shouted.
"Sorry, buddy, I'm here to stay," Sam replied.
"You work for our father," Steph growled. "How do we know that we can trust you?"
Sam laughed. "Oh c'mon! You trust Lucifer's spawns over me? That's just absurd!"
"At least they've made an attempt to help us bring him down," Rachel snapped.
I was shocked to see Rachel - of all people - stand up for the twisted twins even when I didn't trust them; I guess they've proven themselves to her and the archangels.
"Who says that they aren't the same girls as the ones that tortured poor Riley?" Sam asked. "Because I'm pretty sure I was the one that patched her up after her near-death experience with them and I'm the one who saved her from Zane."
"What happened with Zane?" Ella asked with worry written across her face.
I looked at Daniel. "You didn't tell them?"
