Chapter Two
This shit sucks. I can't believe I'm stuck in a plane with my sister and nephew going to surprise Michelle.
I've been working nonstop for the asshole and I'm at the breaking point. I thought going home would give me some sort of vacation. But no, because here comes mother Teresa wanting to surprise Barbie and gets me sucked in on her charity case!
My eyes were burning by now. I haven't slept much in four days and I know I look like shit. Which is surprising that Leslie didn't say a word about it, when mom was practically hinting her to leave me be.
"Can I get you anything sir?"
My internal sulking was interrupted by an overly joyful flight attendant who was smiling at me from ear to ear. I really don't get why she's smiling. Being stuck on a plane every day has got to be a boring job.
"No thank you." I replied then let out a loud yawn. "I'm fine, I don't need anything."
The flight attendant nodded her head and left with another word.
"That was rude of you." Leslie grumbled next to me.
I turned towards her and yawned once more in her face. "What was?" I asked not really caring for her opinion.
"You yawning while talking to someone; at least cover your mouth next time!"
"Just shut up, you wouldn't have to deal with me if you had left me alone!" I snapped then pulled my seat back and made myself comfortable.
I faintly heard Les grumbling at me before sleep completely took over.
******
I don't know how long I was asleep for before waking up to Leslie shaking me.
"Come on Jay, wake up! We're here!"
Stretching I looked around to see the passengers getting up to grab their carry ons. Wow, I slept for eleven hours? It was a good sleep but I wouldn't mind another round.
"You must have been really tired since you slept the whole way here." Leslie commented as she picked up her sleeping son and her bags.
I sighed and got up myself, reaching for my bag and taking the kid from her. Hopefully I'd get lost in the crowd and avoid Les altogether.
"So what kind of traveling do you do to make you this tired?" She interrogated sweetly.
I knew my sister too well, she was trying not to sound too obvious but her intension now was to dissect my brain.
"I don't only travel, I party hardy." I grumbled while I popped a few mints into my mouth.
"I see, living the life like every twenty two year old male huh?" Leslie asked with a smile.
You have no idea.
"Yup, single, handsome and highly active. I'm definitely living the dream." I replied sarcastically.
