He had a point, one that I didn't want to think about right now, but it was hard to evade any subject with him. Even though Cam was our enemy, there were worst people out there. Uncle Seth wanted Cam's blood but he was playing it smart and going after the bigger fish first.

When this whole thing started I didn't think it would get this hectic. Take out Cam and his group, the plan was plain and simple, then again when is life ever simple? We wanted justice, but what we ignited was a war.

Ty and I had the perfect revenge plan, but now I realize we were in over our heads from the very beginning. Sometimes I think we should had just left it alone and moved on with our lives. Maybe then my brother would still be alive. Alive here with me. He always promised he'd be there and now, because of how selfish and stupid I was, he isn't. It's all my fault. I am the one to blame for all the horrible stuff my brother had gone through.

"Laila." Uncle Seth said my name with a warning tone. His voice instantly cut me from my train of thought. "I trained you all for this since you were children, but beforehand I'm going to let you know now. There is still a way out, if you so choose to fight, there is no turning back this time."

I looked up to my uncle. He was always a strong man. A pillar of strength and security we all relied on. A man of pure genius.

Since I was a little girl he had searched and succeeded in tracking down the hunters. He single handedly organized the search and intel gathering. Of course he did have his own crew from his younger days. They were always a great help. He's never told Ty or me how they've met and when ever we ask he would come up with a different story every time. His own inside joke. Which was weird since he was never playful nor humorous.

But he never ceased to amaze us with what he could do. With his help we stopped lots of hunts; however we were a small group with little help. But he taught us well on how to survive. If it weren't for him, we all be in our graves right now.

"I know."

My uncle studied me for a few minutes before he stood to stare at the giant fish tank he had beside his desk. "No Laila, I don't think you do."

"I'm not a little girl anymore. I know there are risks I will face with every decision I make. I promise I get it now, it's not just about my revenge anymore. This mission is a lot bigger than us."

My brother's face flashed before my eyes.

"If we don't do anything now, if we don't take a stand? Then nothing would change. We would continue living our lives running away like cowards. And what Ty wanted for me, I now want for my daughter. I want her to live a peaceful life. For that to happen, I need to fight and bring down Cam and all the leaders working for Jacobs."

"It's going to be a bloodbath." He warned. He's always warned us of this. Always giving us a choice, a way out.

"If we get to them first it won't be for us."

"Jacobs is smarter than Cam." He added firmly.

I know he was warning me to push me away, but I made my decision.

"I know, but that just means we have to be smarter."

"Jacobs is personally after you. You can't afford any more mistakes."

"I understand, for every choice there's a consequence. I won't be a burden."

Uncle Seth stared directly at me and his eyes softened. "Now you listen to me. You have never been nor will you ever be a burden. You are as much a part of this as we are. Keep that in mind."
