The awakening of a still heartbeat

(Hey readers someone has informed me that I have been spelling Stefan wrong and I assure you I fixed all of my mistakes, don't worry delena rises to the top forever and always!!!)

Damon's POV

    It seemed like forever, the trip to the Lockwood property.  The town of Mystic falls passed by in a blur all I could think about is trying to keep my humanity on so I can say one last good bye to the girl I loved more than anything else in the world.

       As I got closer I could hear heart beats and voices near by. Also the unforgettable sound of sobs. I finally reach the clearing, I see Bonnie, Caroline, Jeremy, Matt, and Meredfith Fell. What the hell is she doing here. She can't help my Lena she's already gone.

"Damon, I need to talk to you," Meredith pulls me away from the cold dead body that used to be home to Elena Gilbert's soul.

"you need to listen to me," Meredith says. " When Elena fell a couple of days ago her head injuries were worse then I let on, she needed vampire blood. " I know how she felt about using vampire blood to heal so I left her rest for a couple of days monitoring her head injury and only injecting blood when it inflamed." She continued on.

"But, she was still sore where she hit her ribs the other day," I say puzzled.

" I made it so it only healed her head, I didn't want her to become over stressed. If she knew that I healed her with vampire blood that would mean if she died she would become a vampire. I know she never wanted that life so I never told her there was a chance she could become one. So I let her ribs and other injuries heal separately.

"Wait your telling me this because," I ask angrily wanting to get back to Elena.

" I am telling this because Elena died with vampire blood in her system, which means.....

"She is going to come back," I finish Meredith's sentence.

Elena's POV

I hear an ambush of sounds all around me. I smell the fresh baked bread that was just pulled out of the oven. I taste a strange metallic taste that I assume is blood, I should be satisfied but the blood doesn't taste right. I feel the air around me thicken as I open my eyes to see bright crystal blue eyes looking back at me as my eyes travel down , I see a smirk that I have learned to know and love. But wait I am supposed to be dead

( I know this is a short chapter but I just wanted you all to know that Elena is okay I don't want to cause any one sadness while reading this book I read fan fics so the characters can have a happy endings! Plz comment and vote!!!)
