Beautiful distractions

Caroline's POV

I smear lip gloss across my lips, fix my hair, and adjust my my blouse. Then I get out of my car and walk up the steps to the Gilbert house.

Ever since elena's friends from Denver went a-wall her and damon have taken up residence at the Gilbert's house.

While Stefan is staying with Mia back at the Salvatore mansion. She's compelled not to care that her parents are sitting in the middle of the living room tied up.

In my opinion they should just compel all three of those vampire hating humans on the next flight back to Colorado. But, sentimental elena wants to play happy family and have a talk with them about our lifestyle. Usually Damon would torture them or compel but having a pregnant wife changes things. he would probably be drowning in a sea of Elena's hormonal tears before he could lay a hand on one of the Denver people.

I come into the sounds of. " I love you,"

And "I love you more."

The downstairs of the house is empty so I follow the purrs of the I love you most war upstairs.

When I reach the top of the stairs I peek around the corner Into Jeremy's room. He is sitting in the corner his hands over his ears and a wild look in his eye.

"It's been like this all morning," he says.

"I offered to let them stay at my place but you insisted on having them be here, " I laugh. I close the door to his room and make my way towards Elena's room. I walk in on elena kissing damon.

"Oye get your hands off my best friend, we have to met klaus at the safe house so he can give you a tour."

They stop kissing and and get up off the bed.

"Let's go, blondie i want to see the house that will protect my beautiful wife and ................. our baby boy.

They smile at me as they say their news.

"Wow you guys are having a boy that's great when did you find out,"

"I wanted it to be a surprise but damon peeked at the appointment sheet from last week and the curiosity was killing me so I plied him champagne, not that I drank any, and made him give it up." elena ruffles her hand through Damon's hair.

"Well times a wasting and knowing my bf klaus he does not have the patience for it "

Over the long ride elena and I talk about klaus's and mine summer plans. Damon spends his time making snappy comments about klaus and I.

"So Caroline how is it dating a history book, he is as old as time ." he looks out the window and smiles to himself.

"Not your best come back Salvatore ," I say this time he frowns.

"Your right I'm saving all of my good material for when the baby is old enough to understand."

"Oh no your not our baby is not going to hear one inappropriate remark out of you," elena turns towards him and waits for him to agree.

They continue to bicker sweetly over what damon can and can not teach the baby.

When we finally pull up to the house elena and damon have agreed that they will not be sharing the fact that damon is a reformed cereal killer.

"Wait this is the house where Elijah took elena when she was kidnapped. this is where we first met rose," Damon cringes.

"This looks the ghetto there are bars all over the window." elena says disappointed.

"Klaus says that's the point that This is the last place the travelers will look."

"Well let's go and see how it is don't judge a book by its cover elena, your marrying damon aren't you," I joke

"even you have to admit Caroline I have a sexy cover." Damon smirks. he winks at me and then elena slaps his arm.

Stefan's POV

I put my news paper over my eyes and try to block out the rude comments Elena's friends from Denver make.

"Your a sick sick creature, your a beast you deserve to rot in hell." Spits out jack.

I sigh and just lay still letting the hate roll over me. Until I hear Mia come in.

I have to take the paper off of my eyes and compel both jack and Sarah to return to their rooms in the cellar.

She comes in carrying a huge stack of books. she sets them down on the Table next to me and Grins.

" I'm glad it just you and me I have been wanting to ask something since the first night I got here," she says

"Yes I used to date elena." I blurt out.

"Umm. this is awkward that's not what I was going to ask you but on that topic I already knew from the way you look at her. From the way it looks it was an intense relationship."

"Oh what was the other thing you wanted to ask me."

"Well it was the first night I got here and I heard my parents discussing something, I looked into it and have been studying the towns history non stop. what I really want to know is what you think about vampires,"

And that's when I drop my. Glass.

( This was a filler chapter, it was short, it wasn't well written but it's an update we found out the gender of the baby a boy. I want to thank you all for being so supportive 3k I never thought I would reach so many. I have some bad news. I am going to Costa Rica for ten days so I won't be able to update till the 28th there is no wifi. don't give up on my book I hope I will have a double update by then. comment and vote)
