"So how was it?" Alex asked a couple of weeks later when we finally found time to meet at a café.

"I don't remember much of it, but I think it was pretty good." I told her.

"Sad it was just a one time thing, though." Alex added. "If he's as cute as you say he is, maybe he could set me up with a friend. I would've loved to meet--what did you say his name was again?"

"I didn't." I replied. "I didn't even get his name."

"Dang, Liz, you're on a whole new level now." Alex grinned. "Sleeping with guys who you know nothing about."

"I don't see that as a good--" I suddenly felt my stomach churn. Without saying another word, I ran to the restroom to vom.

"You okay in there?" Alex asked from the other side of the door.

"Must've been the leftover pasta I had yesterday." I replied when I was finished throwing up.

"Let's go back to my place." Alex told me. "It's a shorter walk to there compared to your place."

As soon as we got there, I bolted straight back into the bathroom to blow chunks again.

Once I'd settled down, we both sat down on the couch. "You sure you're alright now?" Alex asked.

"Yeah." I replied. "Maybe you could just give me a nausea pill or
something..."

Alex grabbed her medicine box from the kitchen and started looking through the sachets of medicine. "Any diarrhea?" She asked.

"No."

"Fever?"

"No."

"Stomach cramps?"

"No."

Alex thought for a bit, then gave me a very concerned look. "Well, have you missed a period?"

I hesitated. "Yeah. But I took the morning-after pill!"

"90% safe. 10% is the catch." Alex said. "There's a pharmacy downstairs, I'll go get a pregnancy tester."

The two of us stood in front of the bathroom sink as we waited for the test result to show. "I can't look, you look at it for me." I told Alex.

She grabbed the tester and looked at it and her eyes widened. She passed it to me and lo and behold...

Two lines.

"Shit. Shit. Shit." I cursed. "I'm pregnant and I don't know who the father is."

"I might be able to ask the party organizer for the full list of guests." Alex told me.

"What's the point?" I sighed. "He left the morning after, he probably doesn't even want something like this in his life."

"We can still try." Alex replied. "It's better for him to find out now than in 10 years and a kid just comes up to him and says, 'You're my father'."

"You're right." I said. "How soon can you get the list?"

A few phone calls later, we finally managed to get he list from one of the party organizers from that night. There were twenty-five men at that party. Good thing it had their ages listed as well. So, once we crossed out all of the men that were 30 and above, we were left with just ten.

Alex smirked at me. "Shall we begin?"
