Ivan's p.o.v
"Where are we going" Lucy laughed, I was driving the car along a quiet road, we had loud music playing and were shouting along to the lyrics hysterically "we're going many places today Lucy, but first I just need to go in here quick" I said, pulling into the local supermarket car park "your first romantic destination is the supermarket, seriously" Lucy said, bursting out with laughter "no, I am going in the supermarket, you are staying here" I said pulling into a large space and parking the car "back in a minute beautiful" I said lightly pecking Lucy on the lips, she rolled her eyes and giggled, pulling her phone out as I left the car .

I walked into the supermarket and grabbed a basket, I walked through each isle quickly scanning through the items they had until I found what I wanted, a box of expensive, luxurious chocolate and a bunch of red and white roses, I placed both items into the basket and walked over to the tills and towards the only available till, the lady serving was a kind, old women, she had short grey hair and was also very short in height. "¿Hola, cómo estás hoy?" (Hello how are you today) the old women asked whilst scanning the flowers and chocolates "Estoy muy bien gracias" (I'm very good thank you) I replied, pulling my wallet out of my pocket "Son estos para alguien especial" (are these for someone special) the lady asked, as I passed my money over to her "Sí, son para mi novia, es nuestro aniversario" (yes, they're for my girlfriend, it's our anniversary) I told the women "ah" she nodded and passed the plastic bag which contained the items I had bought and so with that I smiled and walked out the supermarket to rush back to Lucy.

"You took your time" Lucy said putting her phone down and putting her hand on mine "yes well I was talking to a very lovely old women at the tills" I told Lucy, with a smug grin on my face "that's great, now, what's in the bag" she asked leaning over to reach for the bag, i pulled it away teasingly "nuh uh, that's for later" I told her, she pouted and crossed her arms, I laughed at her and leaned over and gently placed the bag on the back seat and turned the car engine on to drive away.
After about 20 minutes of driving we finally arrived to our first destination. The beach we first met on. "Oh my goodness we haven't been here for so long wow" Lucy said, I smiled and opened the car door after parking as did Lucy, I wrapped my arm around her waist and we started walking down to the beach, we ran to the freezing cold water and conjoined hands, we ran slightly further into the water and started to jump over the small waves. we were laughing and having a good time, I looked over to her and just watched her, I watched her beautiful hair blowing back in the wind, her lips smiling widely showing off her beautiful white teeth. She looked so happy which made me insanely happy. She looked over to me as we just stood in the sea feeling it splash against our bare legs, we just paused in the moment and just stared at each other. Whilst I was staring at her thinking of how lucky I am I felt a huge wave of salty water splash against my face, I ran my hands through my wet hair and started laughing, although it wasn't a wave that splashed me it was Lucy, i started laughing and splashing her back, we splashed each other back and fourth for a few seconds and started chasing each other around the water like little kids. When I'm with Lucy I just loose myself, I don't have to act all mature, I can just be myself I can just be childish with her and her with me and I love that.
After being soaked in water, which I was not planning on happening, we decided to leave the sea and walk to the ice cream stand, I bought both mine and Lucy's ice cream, I had cookies and cream and she had rocky road, we tasted each other's flavours and covered each other in ice cream and just had the best time. Once we had made a mess of each other with the ice cream and eaten the rest I ran to the car and took out the towels I had bought along and so I took them out and we laid them on the sand and just sat on our towels in the sand and spoke for a couple of hours and it was so amazing.

After about 3 hours of just hanging out at the beach we decided to rinse all he sand off of us at the mini showers and and dried off with the towels and then hopped in the car, we plugged our seat belts in and I started to engine and it was at this point I decided to give Lucy her presents I had bought earlier that day. I reached to the back seat and pulled the bag onto my lap "Lucy" I said to get her attention, she straight away looked at me and gave me her full attention "I have something to give you" I said, a small smile grew across her face as I pulled the flowers and chocolate out of the bag and passed it to her, she took them out of my hands and held them to her chest "oh Ivan you really didn't have to do this, just spending the day with you is enough" she said smiling widely, I smiled back, she leaned in and gave me a slight hug and so I kissed her on the cheek, she the placed the chocolate and flowers back in the bag and put it back on the back seat. "You ready for our next destination" I asked Lucy, she nodded and so I pulled out of the space I was parked in and started to drive to the next location which was a very expensive restaurant.

We arrived at the restaurant and went inside, we asked for a table for two and were taken to our seats, we were given our menus and were given a few minutes to pick what we wanted to eat and drink, Lucy could tell from the looks of the restaurant that it was expensive although as soon as she looked at the menu her jaw dropped "Ivan, you can't pay for all of this it's too much you're doing so much for me you really don't need to" I grinned and chuckled slightly "honestly Lucy it's fine, it's our 1 year anniversary, trust me I want to spoil you" she grinned and thanked me and it was at that moment when the waiter came over and so we ordered our food and waited for it to arrive.
We ate our food and I had paid for the meals, after telling Lucy that it was fine and didn't want her to chip in, although she ended up giving the waiter a tip anyway. We left the restaurant after about 2 hours and we drove back to the house we were staying in whilst we were in Spain. I parked the car and unlocked the door and to end the perfect day with a perfect night we decided to put the tv on and sit on the sofa cuddling. I wrapped her in my arms and she leaned her head on my shoulder, I told her I loved her and she told me she loved me which are my favourite words to hear from her.
