Creature of the Night

One shot where the reader is an assistant of an assistant in the next marvel movie and she's is staying at a hotel with the crew and actors who invite her to a karaoke party with the stars but she's too shy to go sing in front of them when they get back from the party they catch her singing and dancing

Side note I've never seen rocky horror picture show but I did see the glee episode and this song was stuck in my head after my friend played it in her car

“That's a wrap for today everybody good job see you all bright and early tomorrow” the director said once Tom Holland, Chris Evans, and Robert Downey finished the final scene for the night you watched from the catering table making coffee for several different people as all these ridiculously attractive people walked over towards where you were to get snacks as you mixed half a packet of cream and 2 Splenda into the key grips paper cup you overheard their conversation

“Tonight will be fun especially since it's not choreographed like the last time I sang in front of people” you heard Tom Holland say. At the mention of his Celebrity lip sync battle, your face got warm as you thought about how many times you had watched that video

“Yeah as long as you don't embarrass us  we do have a reputation to uphold,” Robert Downey said in a Stern but joking tone

“the only one who would be embarrassing anyone is you if you drink too much and start flirting with every girl you see” Chris Evans remarked laughing along with everyone else who had crowded around your small table you pick up your cups and quickly walked away from the growing group of people and Passed out the coffee to your superiors

“Is there anything else you need me to do tonight?” you asked your boss Megan  the assistant buyer for the movie  

“No that's all for today you can head back to the hotel  are you coming to the party tonight,” she asked sipping on her coffee leaning against  a desk

“No I figured I wasn't really invited since I'm just the assistant of an assistant and I only really make coffee and clean up I assumed it would be for more important people,” you say shyly looking down at your dusty shoes

“ No hun everyone's invited you should definitely come by it's just going to be a bunch of famous people singing along with a bunch of less famous people singing  it'll be great,” she says checking her lipstick in a compact mirror

“ I think I'll pass I don't really have any party clothes and I prefer to just read a book and sit by myself in the room” you say thinking about where you left off in your book the prince had been flirting with the main character and you were soo excited to see where that would go

“ Okay suit yourself but you're definitely welcome to join,” she said closing the mirror and putting it back in her purse” okay well I'll see you later then have a good night”

“ You too,” you say grabbed your jacket and walked out of the makeshift office.

Since  the scenes they were shooting this week we're on location company paid for a single floor of a hotel to be bought out for the week and everyone apart of the movie was there you just barely got to go and you were so excited to be staying in such Close Quarters with  all the different actors they seemed extremely friendly but you never held a real conversation with them other than asking if they want coffee or a donut or a quackson (croissant)

By the time you got back to your room you were exhausted from the long day so you kicked off your shoes and sat on your bed which was a pullout couch the other girls sharing the room with you Kelly and Peggy were helping in makeup and probably already at the party. You grabbed your book Cinder and got comfortable on your couch bed and read a few chapters squeeing and gasping all along the way until you realized it had started getting extremely dark and you can no longer see without the light on you got  up off the couch bed and grabbed your phone checking the time 10:21 pm.(actually 2:23am) it  wasn't very late but you could hear a few people heading back to their rooms you knew your roommates wouldn't be back for a long time so you decided to take a Shower you grabbed your towel and phone turn the water on high and started playing some music on a shuffle with P!ATD and Bo Burnham humming along quietly you like to sing but you're not the best at it so you would never do it in front of people. As you finish rinsing the soap off of your body you turn off the water in step out of the shower wrapping up in a towel the song switches And you get excited knowing every word of this song you start to sing as you dry off.

I was feeling done in, couldn't win

You hang your towel up going over to your bag and grabbing your pajamas a big sweatshirt and  shorts

you sit on your bed one again this time dancing and shimmying your shoulders and kicking your legs

You get up and walk over to the mirror and take your hair down and brush it

Then if anything grows while you pose

You swing your hips vigorously and theatrically to the music

And that's just one small fraction of the main attraction
You need a friendly hand and I need action

Using the brush as a microphone you sing into it loudly

You dramatically run your hands up and down your body sensually

You posed dramatically holding the note at the end of the song and you hear clapping you quickly turn your head to the door to see wide-open standing there are Kelly and Peggy along with Tom Holland Benedict Cumberbatch Chris Evans Chris Hemsworth Robert Downey Tom Hiddleston and Sebastian Stan you gawk at them as they laugh

“Why the heck were you not with us tonight,” Tom Holland asks staring at you surprised

“I um I uh I I I um sorry, “ you say unable to figure out real people words still trying to figure out how they came in without you noticing

“you should definitely come next time it would be amazing to see a performance like that again,” Robert Downey says

“How long were you watching me exactly” you question turning red feeling everybody's eyes on you. you look down at your feet and realize that your shorts don't even count as pants as they can't even be seen from beneath your sweat-shirt Your bare legs on display for the world

“Long enough I'd say,” Chris Evans says chuckling

“Have a good night ladies Good night creature of the night” Sebastian Stan says walking to the end of the hall towards his room your Kelly and Peggy walk in as the males disperse and close the door “I hate you both so much” you say embarrassed as you collapse face-first onto your bed for the final time They both laugh at you and get ready for bed you can already tell tomorrow is going to be horribly embarrassing and fun.
