Spin off novel of "Love Me, Again?"
Prologue
A year after he left Leila.
Jason dropped himself on the mattress after dumping his luggage on the floor. Lying down on his back, he looked around the hotel room. He had booked the Milano Suite at St. Regis New York Hotel. He really just wanted to escape from…
Jason snapped his eyes shut and clenched his fists, trying to get all the images of Leila out of his mind. “Books think about books Jason. It's been six months,” he muttered as he tried to concentrate on them; instead of the beautiful blonde-haired blue-eyed girl that made his heart fill with sorrow. Deep inside, there was a part of him that wanted to run back home and pull her into his arms. Shaking his head, he tried to think about books again. “She was and never will be yours,” he scolded himself over and over, looking like a madman shouting at himself.
Taking his shoes and socks off, he felt the soft, beige carpet against the soles of his feet. Jason pulled the long light-brown curtains open and looked down to Fifth Avenue. People were still bustling and hurrying on the sidewalks as the roads were heavy with traffic and it was midnight. “It is New York,” he shrugged to himself.
There was a little desk area against the wall with a fancy chair and a plant in a pot next to it. The living room area had a coffee table nestled in the middle of it with books and an orchid plant sitting in a vase. Jason gritted his teeth and picked up the flowers. As he walked to the furthest door, he took in the expensive paintings on the wall and the chandeliers that hung off the high ceilings. When he reached the last door he opened it, praying it was a closet.
Instead he came faced with another room not even paying attention to where it landed; he threw the flowers and quickly shut the door. The pretty flowers reminded him of Leila and he didn’t even like flowers, he scoffed.
Walking back down the long hallway he saw another living room with an antique fireplace. “Gosh how big is this place?” he said to no one in particular. He should have researched what this room included but his breaking heart only pushed him to leave town as fast as he could.
Jason had given up Leila because he knew he never stood a chance against Mason. Though he did wish he confessed his feelings earlier, maybe he would’ve actually stood a chance against him. Maybe he’d actually be the one with her, giving her the love and happiness she deserved. ‘No,’ he screamed to himself mentally. Mason always made her smile and laugh; she would radiate happiness and love whenever Mason was near. That was something Jason knew he could never do.
Her heart already belonged to Mason and even if he tried for the rest of his life, Leila would never love him, like she loved Mason. He wiped a tear the slid down his cheek. He was always a friend. Feeling his heart constrict, he clutched onto his chest tightly. He didn’t know that one word can affect someone that badly. Furiously wiping his tears away, he hurried to take a shower and get ready.
Tonight, he was going to drink his pain away.
Tonight, he was going to forget.

Tell me what you think!
I will be posting only five chapters and I'll decide whether or not I should continue after.
SORRY! I've finally found the time to fix the written chapters of this story. I will be working on the story alone... Seeing that my co-writer is a bit too busy with her life.
