*Breathes in*
*breaths out*
Now this is mainly a problem for the fanfiction books.
Like really..
Every oc people make in fanfictions have a back story, right?
But 95% of the back stories are tragic as fuck. Now there's nothing wrong with that.
There is something wrong when it's basically the same back story or the same cliché shit over and over again.
What I'm trying to say is, be creative with that shit.
There were actually a few fanfics I read that had a tragic back story that are were truly fucked up and has me nearly throw my phone in fucking anxiety and excitement like god damn I thought I had problems but shit, you're really fucked up.
Going back to the point!
When writing a back story, it doesn't have to be tragic. I just think it's over used. Now you guys can argue and say it's necessary for character development, but I think it's the biggest cliché that fucking screams: I'm a new fanfic writer and can't think of shit else!
Did I get my point across?
So anyway, most of the back stories are the same:
My parents got killed; I must avenge them!
My whole family (fucking distance relatives and all) was slaughtered; Time to pack up shit and find the dude that killed them.
Those are mainly over used most stories. (Don't get me started on them anime fanfics, we'll be here all damn day!)
That's all.
Feel free to point out grammar mistakes.
