Lemme stop because some lgbt books are like this but most of the books out there are BXG so imma bash on y'all a bit harder. 

Y'all have to stop this shit. I understand the opposite attract trope but what y'all be writing is a straight up toxic relationship. 

I'm looking at all y'all fanfic writers too, you know who you are-

Honestly, when authors try to write these types of relationships it seems forced to me and cringe. Not only that I just end up hating both characters and end up removing the book from my library completely. There's no chemistry, they fight all the time and whenever they act lovey-dovey its after a life-threatening situation and I'm sick of it. 

Most of these relationships happen in drama books as well. Which is why I try to avoid them altogether. 

Also, why would you want to be with someone that makes you feel like shit and brings out the worse of you? Like no. Some of these stories make me wonder if the author is okay or not. 

I lowkey blame the media as well, romanticizing these types of relationships for views, now a bunch of love struck teenagers think it's completely normal. 

No it's fucking not. 

Let me tell you reading about a good wholesome relationship and fluff is what I thrive off of. Most of the popular fanfics/ stories I read are about the characters actually having development and going through their relationships and getting better. Like one of my favorite fanfics is 'Catch the Thunder' on Fanfiction.net because the characters are so realistic and the relationships aren't toxic. The main characters are actually sitting the fuck down and talking through their problems and helping each other out. They're not entirely dependent on one another and they don't mistreat each other. Yeah there's drama but it's handled really well because the characters act like civilized adults-

Oh. 

That moment when you realize that most of the hate me love me fics are made by those fourteen-year-old white girls TM who probably haven't even been in a stable relationship. 

Yeah I said it, what the fuck you gon' do?
