Take me to the Boardwalk
I want to walk with your hand in mine
I want to dip my toes with yours
I want you to take me to the boardwalkLet's not go downtown to see a show
Let's not go to the square to dance
Let's not go to a fancy restaurant
Take me to the boardwalkI want the wind to caress my face with wet sprinkled fingers
I want the smell of water to fill my nose
I want you to take me to the board walkWhy would anyone want to go and see a movie?
Why would people want to go to clubs?
Why is the bar scene so preferred?
Take me to the boardwalkI want the breeze to brush my hair
I want your voice to be there for when I jump
I want you to hold the letter for my parents
I want to see your face one last time
I want you to know how much I love you
I want you to be the one to say good bye
Because darlin, no one's voice is prettier
I want you to take me to the boardwalk, love
One last time
