Holy shit. I hug the sheets I had taken with me from the bed tighter around my body as I hear the deep voice belonging to the one and only Alec. I turn slowly around on the tips of my feet to make eye contact with the swirling pools of intelligent grey. He has a calculating gaze and every time I look into his eyes it feels like he can peer into my brain and know every thought, understand everything."So... how about this weather we've been having?" I say awkwardly hugging the sheets tighter trying to break the silence.
"It's alright." He says looking out the closest window.
"Can I make you anything? Eggs?" he says politely twiddling his thumbs.
"Sure if its not too much trouble." I say shrugging my shoulders and plopping myself down on the nearest bar stool as he grabbed the eggs from the refrigerator.
"Not at all, I am your Saviour after all." he responds. Cocky bastard.
Watching him cook was fascinating, his precise movements as he cracked the eggs and poured the mixture. He definitely knew what he was doing.
Before I knew we were finishing off the last bites of the delicious scrambled eggs, finally fully clothed might I add, when I remembered.
"Shit." I mumble under my breath with a mouth full of eggs.
"What is it?" he asks with genuine concern. Finishing my mouthful a answer him.
"My bike is still at the Pit, I have to go get it." I respond as a am quickly exiting my seat.
"Woah calm down there there's time, plus doesn't the guy at the front watch over the bikes?" he questions.
"Bobby watches over the bikes yes but let's go now the sooner I know my baby is alright the better." I answer running my hand through my slightly frizzy hair. Making my way over to the front door I turn around and look at him.
"You coming or not?"

My baby was safely recovered and I parted ways with Alec and didn't see him again for the whole weekend as I was holed up in my house with Netflix and ice-cream looking after me. But I knew I would have to see him again at school, and much sooner than I would like to admit we are back here yet again friends. I would love to say that Mondays are joyous occasions, however I would be lying to you.
Trudging through the halls out of my geography session, I finally let a massive breath escape me that I had been holding the entire lesson.
I have been on edge all day. I just want to go home and sleep, something I haven't been able to do much of lately, due to homework and nightmares. I used to get them a lot when I was younger and they have been resurfacing lately filling my usually dreamless nights with unimaginable horrors. Too dark?
I go to my locker quickly and grab out the last books I will need for the day. Maths. Or Mental Abuse To Human Society as I like to call it. Going to maths equals if I did the calculations right, I have to see Alec. Or my saviour, or whatever he calls himself.
I have managed to avoid him all day, and by that, I mean walking in the complete opposite direction when I see him. Its worked so far but there is absolutely no way I can get out of this encounter. I have already had a crap day, with lunch being the redeeming feature and this will just be the sour cherry on top.
I go to the classroom early to avoid being late again, and sit in my seat. I pull out my book and just start to read to pass the time. I have been reading for about 5 minutes and a few students have come in and sat down with quiet chatter, I continue reading and after a few more minutes, because our teacher is either extremely early or late, I glance up and see Alec look at me with a smirk gracing his face. I panic unsure of what to do and throw the book in his face. It hits him right in the jaw, sucker.
"Calm down Lettie, I thought you were better than that, and we were past hitting each other." He says jokingly.
"What the hell did you just call me?!" I force out.
"Lettie, like Scarlett, lett, Lettie." He says as though he is the smartest person in the world for coming up with the nickname. I scowl at him, and Mr. Brian hobbles in puts his things on the table and jumps right into teaching,
"We will be starting a project, it is a partner project, please work with the person next to you." He keeps talking but all I could focus on was what he said. The person next to you. I turn my head and look at Alec only to see he is already looking at me with a grin so big I can only describe it as one similar to that of the Cheshire Cat.
Shoot.

The lesson is finally done and again I am able to leave before Alec can catch me.
"How's my girl?" Luke says as he catches me whilst I am speed walking down the corridor back towards my locker.
"You were weird at lunch everything ok?" he says patting my back.
"Yeah, I'm fine just tired, stressful History assignment you know..." I say cringing at the awkward lie.
"You can talk to me babes, just remember." He responds with a reassuring pat on my back. With a final smile in his direction a continue in my solid power walk.
Walking quickly through the halls the last thing I need is to run into her. Charlotte Hanna, queen bee, popular and my ex. We were together in our sophomore year and we ended up having a messy breakup.
And due to her popularity and influence she basically made everyone avoid me, except for Luke that is. I couldn't have just had a nice sweet ex could I?
"Well, if it isn't Scarlett the slut." she says sneering and her two little minions behind her laugh.
"Are you sure you aren't mistaking me for yourself Charlotte?" I say trying to push past her and her groupies.
"Not so fast," she says leaning in close "You will regret breaking up with me if you don't already that is." She says barely above a whisper while poking my collarbone.
"Sure, in your dreams." I say with a chuckle finally getting past her and her friends.

I arrive back at the modern looking building that I call home. The bright sun is blinding as a park my bike and make my way to the door. The place looks the same as usual and I put my bag down on the front table. I go into the kitchen for a snack, as much as I have eaten already I could still eat more. What can I say? I like my food.
I grab an apple and a bag of chips and turn around to take a bowl out of the cupboard when I freeze. I am dead in my place, not moving an inch. On the counter is a white piece of paper with writing that I can make out from the spot I stand about thirty feet away.
'Watch your back Red'. I inhale loudly with an obvious shudder in it. I stare at the piece of paper lying flat against the counter top. Someone knows me. Someone wants to hurt me. Someone wants me gone.
Hi, so I've decided that I am going to try weekly uploading and see how it goes. If things get to stressful (School, homework, life) I'll let you know of a new updating schedule. Please vote and comment! Have a nice morning or afternoon wherever you are and I'll see you next chapter.
