Gun shots. That was all I heard as I lay winded on the ground. Screams erupt immediately after. I painfully bring my body up in fear of what's going on.

Wincing, I rise to my feet to see panicked faces rushing around and out the doors. I can't see any sign of who fired the shot and, thankfully, no one appears injured. Everyone in the vicinity is scrambling in fear.

Sparrow is gone and replaced by Alec rushing towards me and into the ring. He is looking at me with urgency and fear in his eyes as he half carries me out of the ring.

"What's going on?" I ask him disoriented from the earlier blows Sparrow delivered.

"I don't know." Is his stoic reply. Before I know it, we are joining the flood of people that are trying to desperately get away from the danger.

They all feel and look like prey trying desperately to get away from a predator. What's shocking to me is that this is a room full of fighters and none of them are fighting. Fighting back and ganging up on this guy.

It could be the fear that they brought knives to a gun fight, except instead of knives all they have is their brute force.

Whilst holding me steady, I think we both realise that with little under 300 people here it's going to take a lot of time before we can be safely outside.

"Are there any other exits?" he asks me failing to not show the fear in his voice. Not fear for himself, no, fear for me. I look at him and give him a sad shake of my head before remembering.

"Wait." I remember speaking more to myself than him. I drag him with me slowly limping and going against the flow of people.

Next to the bar is small exit that I have personally never used but has been mentioned to me by Bobby encase the situation should occur when a quick exit is needed. A situation like this.

"Now's not the time for a drink Lettie." He says when he sees the direction we are heading in. I grumble and move faster than my already slow pace.

When we are finally free of the influx of people I push through the swinging door so we are on the inside of the bar.

Directly where Bobby said it would be is a mahogany door. I pull it open only to reveal a small walk in liquor cupboard.

"No, he said it would be here." I say half pacing. Alec just pushes past me, taps on the wood and then swings open the shelf of the back cabinet.

Of course, there's a secret door. I shut the front door of the liquor cupboard and we walk up the stairwell which we both assume would lead us outside. And as expected it did.

"Lettuce?" I soft voice whispers in my ear. Pretending I didn't hear it to get a few more minutes of sleep, seems like the best option, so I go with it.

"Lettie, I know you're awake your eye twitched." He says seeing past my façade. Groaning I roll over to face him.

"You don't look so good." Is all he says after studying me for a few brief moments.

"Well you wouldn't either if you were beat up by your arch nemesis." I reply with a grumble.

Shoving past him and into the kitchen I plop myself down in an island seat and lie my head down on the counter, to try and calm the pounding headache. Last night was one intense Tuesday.

All that fighting, all that running and all those goddamn bruises on my body that serve as a reminder that it had happened. Wait Tuesday. I wish there was a guide book for teens in school who illegally fight, like maybe don't go up against your rival on a school night.
