Punch, swerve, attack, repeat. Punch, swerve, attack, repeat. Over and over again I train. Due to the recent events, I haven't been able to go to the gym and train much and I missed it. I missed its clean scent, the lovely staff and the isolation.God, I missed the isolation, just being in your own world with music in and just solid working out. Different to most I love the gym, plus if I didn't come I would never be ready for my fights, especially the one tonight.
Tonight, I shall be facing my long-time rival, Sparrow. We go against each other every few weeks and I have beat her one more time than she has beaten me. Punch, swerve, attack repeat. Clearing my head is easy when the same mantra is playing in my head as well as my favourite tunes.
Deciding to end the seemingly never ending cycle, I break for a gulp of water and decide to do some push and sit ups. My usual rotation is 10 push ups, break for ten seconds, 10 sit-ups, break for ten repeat.
Before starting the new cycle, I just lie on my back and catch my breath which is currently coming out in short heaves. Once my breath is fully regained I go into my front support and begin the push ups. After my tenth and I am ready for my break, a pair of all too familiar feet walk into my vision.
"You look like you need a rest Lettie." Alec says, and although I haven't looked up yet I can hear the smirk on his face.
A thought crossed my mind about ignoring him but that thought quickly disappeared and was replaced with a much less passive stream of words.
"Ok one, why the hell are you here? And two do you remember what I said earlier this morning?" I ask him sharply, now on my feet."Well, I'm here because guess what? I need to train too, and you don't maintain abs like this," he pauses lifting half of his shirt up to show me like I don't already know.
"Without going to the gym." He finishes."I'm not too phased by that anymore, however my dear Alec, do you remember what I said this morning?" I say accentuating each word. He stands there thinking for a moment before his eyes light up in remembrance.
"Oh, you asked me to unpack the dishwasher!" he exclaims. Grabbing him by the ear I pull him close and whisper.
"I said I would cut your balls off and wear them as earrings if you ever called my Lettie again." I pull back to gauge his reaction and it is one of fear and shock before it transforms back into a silly grin.
"Oh but you don't mean that!" He responds with a playful shove on the shoulder. Giving him my infamous death glare I speak once more.
"You want to test that theory buddy?" I ask with no trace of playfulness. His features drop and he answers with a short
"No." giving him a pat on the back my playfulness returning.
"Now that we both understand each other, leave me alone with my sit-ups."

"Scarface, we never talk anymore." Luke complains to me as we are making our way towards the cafeteria.
"We're talking now, aren't we?" I ask absent-mindedly whilst checking my phone as it binged with a text from Alec.
"No, we may be communicating but we're not talking. Plus, you haven't even introduced me to your boyfriend." He whines whilst pushing the doors open that lead to the chaos that is our school's cafeteria.
With vandalised seats, tables, animal students and the fact that it is way too small for our school's population makes it an ever so fun place to be. However, when the doors fully open what I see inside scares the shit out of me. Alec is sitting in the middle of the queen bitches table. Laughing. With Charlotte.
