"Are you happy, Tia?" My social worker, Annalise Harper asks.
"Of course I am, someone finally wants to adopt me. But I won't be able to see Cody." I say bowing my head.
We are currently in a Annalise's car heading into Forks, Washington and then into La Push, where Sam and Emily live. I look out the window and watch as the trees go past, it's quite upsetting that I wasn't even allowed to say goodbye to any of my friends. According to Charlotte Mearing and some dude called Director Galloway I have to keep me leaving a secret so my real father doesn't know I've left or where I've left to.
I miss Cody.
We had so many good times, like that one time we saw those two Lamborghini's following us and we led them into some weird foamy slime factory. We both laughed because we didn't think they'd follow us into the factory and when they did the red one was no longer red but covered in green slime and the golden one was no longer gold but purple. We laughed so hard that we fell into the slime as well! It was such a fun day.
Or that time with that semi truck that-
"Tia, we are here." I snap my head up and see that the car has stopped in front of a small house in the woods. I open the car door and get my black and yellow backpack from the back of the car. I swing one strap on my shoulder and head towards the house. Annalise knocks on the door, and a small native woman comes to the door, she has three long scars on the side of her face but I look past that to see a small, beautiful, kind woman.
"Hi, I'm Annalise Harper and this is Tia Blue Darkney, are you Emily Young?"
"Yes I am. It's nice to meet you finally Tia, come on in." She opens the door with a smile that I happily return. We follow her into the house and a tall buff guy with dark hair and eyes stands there with an arm open for Emily. She goes and stands by him and he smiles at us.
"This is my fiancé Sam, Sam this is Tia and her Social worker Annalise Harper."
Annalise gets her bag out and spreads the papers on the dining room table, she gets her pen out and starts writing things down.
"Sam, is it alright is I talk to you privately about the matter of why Tia is here, please?" Annalise asks and Sam nods.
"Tia would you like to see your room?" Emily asks and I nod. She stands up and walks up the stairs, I follow her into a black and yellow room. The carpet is black and the walls go black, yellow, black, yellow. There is a double bed in the centre of the room with a dresser on its right and a bookcase on it's left. The bookcase contains a few books, some art supplies and empty picture frames. The left wall has a window with black curtains and on the right is a wardrobe and a door. I place my bag on the bed and walk to the door, behind it is a en suite bathroom with already bought toiletries in bags on the side.
I continue to look around. I could put pictures of me and Cody on the bookcase and I could buy things to place in empty places to make it look more homey. "Thank you, Emily. This is- this is better than anything!" I run up to her and hug her. "Tell Sam I said thank you to him too, you didn't have to do all this." I let go and look at the view from the window. The woods. I smile, I love the woods!
"Tia, lets go." I look to the side to see it's Emily. I nod my head and follow her.
Sam, Emily and Annalise go over paperwork and other shit like that while I walk around the house, memorising everything. I also come up with many escape routes if anything bad is to happen and many places I can find things that Emily and Sam won't notice. Areas of the house have dust piled up meaning they don't clean it while every other aspect of the house is spotless. Comeplety opposite to the kids home, they never cleaned unless an adopter or someone important was coming over.
