Chapter 2 ~School~

"Tia, you are going to school today. Because of your high grades you are in the same classes as Embry, Jacob, Kim, Jared and Paul, the latter two have to repeat the year, don't ask. The school is here in the reservation. Paul is going to take you in his truck." Emily says, saying Jacobs name as if it's poison.

I get up from the table and place my empty bowl into to the sink. I wash the bowl and spoon and place it on the drain. I'm wearing a yellow crop top with a black leather jacket, black ripped skinny jeans and black goth-like combat boots. I don't like makeup so I don't put any on and I brush my hair and leave it down, naturally wavy.

"Okay, I need school supplies. Oh and when is he coming?" I ask. Emily smiles and gets a black backpack out from absolute no where. Not gunna question her but where the fuck did she get that she just reached down and bam! Backpack.

"I put you some basic school supplies, pens, pencils, plain paper and all that." She says and I nod.

I hear a truck pull up and Paul comes bounding into the kitchen. Emily passes me the backpack and hugs me. "Have a good first day at school, Tee." I smile.

"I will, thanks Mo- Emily." I correct myself, I've only been here a day. Just because Emily is like a real mom, doesn't mean she's yours, Tia. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

I swing my backpack over one shoulder and follow Paul to his truck. On the way to school Paul and I play 20 questions. I think we are going to be great friends.

When we get to school, I jump out of the truck and many girls glare at me. Why would they- Oh, Paul! Hah! Do they really think that me and him-ewww! No offence, Paul. What am I thinking he can't read minds, right? Let's check. I mentally scream. He doesn't flinch. Okay we are good.

"Can you take me to the office please, I don't really know the way." I ask him sweetly. He turns to look at me.

"Yeah sure it's this wa- actually I'm busy, Jacob will take you to the office." He says looking over my shoulder, at Jacob I suppose. I smile.

"Okay." I turn to see Jacob. He smiles a me and nods his head towards the school, I nod and walk with him into the school.

"Yesterday, Sam and Emily got mad at you. Why?" I ask.

"Err, it doesn't matter. You'll find out soon." I give him a weird look but don't question if. I find myself doing that a lot. We finally get to the office.

"Hi, I'm Tia Uley, I'm the new student." I say sweetly to the woman. She looks up with a frown but then it turns to a smile.

"Okay, here's your schedule. Now I hope you don't mind me asking but are you related to Sam Uley, he has no siblings and you seem a little old to be his daughter." She states, it comes across rudely but I just smile at her. I take the schedule.

"He and his fiancé adopted me actually." I say.

"Oh, okay. But darling, please don't turn out like the rest of his gang. I don't want you doing drugs, you seem like a nice girl." I smile at her and nod. I mentally laugh, he isn't on drugs. None of them are. I leave the office and see Jacob again.

"What's your timetable?" He asks and takes it from me. His eyes light up.

"We have most of the same lessons!" He says cheerfully.

"We have Maths first so let's go."

And that's how my morning goes. I sat with one of the guys in all the lessons. It's now lunch. I said I needed to go the bathroom so Jacob told me to meet them in the cafeteria. I nod and walk to the bathroom. Not my luck though.
