Tashi pov:

Jackson Troy..

Or Jack.

I snicker at my inside joke. I was so tempted to ask him 'Hey Jack where is your rose?' but I don't think he would like that, would he?

He gives me weird vibes. Weird as in i-own-this-world vibes. Making my way towards their table, I send a silent prayer up because he asks questions. Alot. And I don't really like it. Not at all.

Placing my butt on the comfy chairs, I settle down and look at the menu to avoid these xeros copies, sitting with me. They resemble each other very much and it freaks me out.

Someone clears their throat. Ha. If you want my attention then address me properly. So instead of looking up, I keep searching on my menu.

"Tashi."

That's better.

I look up at Jack and smiles politely.

"So tell me..." Here we go again. I groan internally looking at Jason pleadingly who returns my gaze with his own bored look.

"Yes?"

"What happened to your hands?" He motions at my bandages hands with his fork. Jason stills for a second before resuming eating but his eyes watching me like a hawk.

"I fell down and hurt myself." I lie smoothly. His eyebrows raise in surprise and he chuckles at my response.

Okay. Not smoothly. It's a pathetic lie, I agree.

"Whatever you say." He comments still chuckling.

So the dinner went by with endless question of Jack somewhere in between I had escaped to the restroom and spent 10 minutes there to just pass sometime. Yeah 10 minutes.

"Why don't you go and start the car, Jason? We'll join you when I pay the bill." He orders his son but I cut him off.

"No no. I will pay. "

"Never. It's on me tonight." He argues back.

"Please, it's not a big deal. Let me." I insist.

"Not happening, young lady. Why are you still here, Jason? " I look at Jason who is looking at his father with narrowed eyes.

"Oh I should go with him." I take a step and stand beside Jason giving him a look that says 'you better take me with you'.

"No. He can do this by himself." He links his arm with me almost forcefully, dragging me towards the counter to pay and on the other hand, Jason scowls at his father.

Something is really off with his father and when he opens his mouth, I realize I am right.

"What are your intention with my son?" He asks causally like we are discussing our opinions on politics.

Taken aback, I look at him with raised eyebrows.

"Excuse me?"

"I know there is something between you two. I have never seen my boy so open and relax with someone. Are you two dating? Or just sleeping..." I retract my arm from his, instantly when I realize what he was emphasising on.

Stopping in my tracts, I cross my arms over my chest and look up at him with my own cold stare.

"What are you emphasising exactly?" I furrow my eyebrows, irritated. He looks down at me with blank face.

"I think you know what I am... Emphasising. I don't think I have to be blunt with you knowing the fact that you are a smart lady. I'm sorry if it's rude of me asking but I have to look out for my boy so he doesn't get himself a gold digger but I think you are a good person and not like that."
