Caso's lair

The stench of sulphur is heavy in the air. The ash lay thick on the ground. Yet there is a solitary beauty that wraps up this place. The crown of the volcano was smoking.
The greenness was somehow not lost even in such an area . The trees were pointy with less leaves than branches. The sky streaked gray and grayish blue.
Nalu take out the skin parchment . He looks intently at the map with streaming curvy designs.
"The mountain of caves" Nalu points to the eastward side. "The map says that Caso has supposedly made her lair in the northeast side of the fire mountain."
Nalu Arfion Eldor and me took off the ashy ground and flew to the right of the path.
"The map says that only a heart free from knowledge greed can spot the doorway to Caso's creak." Nalu retorts.
" we need to figure that out." Arfion says in a tensed voice.
We land on a rocky side with pointy cliffs surrounding us. Like as if we have landed in a chalice.
The sky was greyer here. Not a single flora-fauna in sight. The land was like a skeleton. Dovoid of any signs of life. The barreness was very intimidating. The low and thick gurgling was heard of the volcano.
"There! I can see an exit behind that rock!" Eldor neighed and pointed it with his narrow mouth.
Crossing the narrow tunnel , we again landed in another clearing. The walls of the chalice like structure was riddened with holes...or caves.
"The mountain of caves." I whispered in a shrillness that was quite audible.
"But how are we to find Caso's lair with almost a thousand caves all around." Eldor chimed disappointedly.
"My dear Eldor , Crystallox's scholars are not so stupid...they have left us a clue to find it." He beams and hits his chest.
Eldor rolls his eyes " well they should have not given us a clue but the actual location....we are not treasure hunting here." He mocks.
"Point well made." Arfion laughs.
Nalu was about to say something when I interrupted him." Guys please. This is not a time for jokes. Hurry up.!" I chimed.
"According to the map. The riddle goes like this.
You shall find what you seek
If your heart is meek
Find in on the edges
Where the light and darkness merges.
"Well?" Nalu cocks up his eyebrow at us.
"Find it.....on the edges.....whe..Where light and darkness merges?" I rewind it in my head as I walked back and forth.
I have no idea how long I have been doing this. It was dark now. The shining sphere was gloomily shrinking and blending in the darkness of the night. The dull sky was now closing its eyes.
I felt it like I had strong  currents of electricity zapping through me.
"I got it! I got it!" I shouted and shook awake Arfion
from his drowsy state. Every one jolted awake.
"Wh..what did u get?" Nalu says being completely startled.
"Its the last cave at the end of this valley...look ...here.....its says....find it on the edges where light and darkness merges....that's the dusk....in the horizon...that's the edge....and....light and darkness merges....its the setting sun and the advent of night...that is darkness." I explain.
"Phew woman...you really got something...."  Nalu beams at me.
"Let's not waste any time and proceed." Arfion urges enthusiastically. We flew till the edge of this rocky chalice. After looking around for almost five minutes...we spotted a low hum of music coming from a small cave at the foot of the rocky barrier. My heart was beating against my chest. We crawled in and came in a larger hall . The walls were solid igneous volcanic rocks. Shiny stones are scattered all over on the walls and on the floor. The candles were everywhere...the ember like glow was soothing."Helloww...anybody here...hellow." Eldor's voice echoed down the big hall.
"Whose there...huh who is there!!!" A loud shout welcomed us.
I gulped down the lump in my throat. Is this Caso's voice?
