Our journey contined for some more time in the velvety violet darkness through the shimmering stars until the darkness paled a little in the horizon and the dark violet turned light lavender.
As a thousand thoughts raced through my mind, little did I notice the fact that we were.surrounded by a viel of mist. The viel intensified as we waded further till we were embraced in a sheet of clouds. The pink sun splattered the white surface of the cloud mounds with colours ranging from light golden to oranges, blues and lavender. Eldor and I waded ...flying like awstruck children until Erebor's voice took my attention. "We are here, welcome to the Cloud Kingdom of Aurelis."
The huge clouds stood like hills around us, the white serenity topped with colours of various sorts. A shiny thing twinkled from a distance. It glimmered under the clear sunlight.
"Well whats that?" Eldor pointed out the shimmering object with it's horn. Erebor drew his attention towards the direction in which Eldor was pointing. "Thats the Quartz tower. The largest and the tallest in Aurelis. That is also used to identify the Quarzentine castle in the kingdom. Its kind of a land mark. " Erebor says with a hint of pride laced in his sentences. "Why do you have it." Erebor enquiries. "Well, it stores quartz energy of ether magic that provides power to the castle. Every house in the kingdom has one." Erebor elaborates as we float through the cloud corridor.
An enormous arch gate stood before us with guards standing outside. The bridge which connects to the main city is made up of pure crystals..levelled and measured. The guards bowed low when they spotted our little party. Erebor gives them a curt nod and motions us to follow him. The transparent bridge sparkled under the sun as we walked on it ...surrounded by foggy clouds. "His majesty wants to personally welcome the honorable ether guardian and her companions and hence he has sent his best carriage to take you to the Quarzentine palace." A thin land man with bright blue eyes and silvery blonde hair retorts it in front of us. "Very well." Erebor says as he clasps hands behind him. The young boys bows and brings the carriage .
The high towers of the city were build with blocks of quarts of different kinds and a smaller version of the quartz tower anttena stood proudly glimmering on the top.
"Shall we?" Erebor says as he extends his hand at me. I quite didn't remember the existence of the other beings amidst all these crystalline gradeur. The castle was surreal. The rosy hue of the giant crystalline monolithic structure was absolutely surreal. Something that mere words cannot describe. "I wonder who built it." I foolishly retort in a mumbling voice but this sentence did not go unnoticed by Erebor. He let out a hearty laugh. Like a laugh a parent laughs at theit child's silly comment. "Well we had the best architectural skills among all the land of this magic realm. We stand tall and proud of such skillful workers we have." Erebor says with pride. The structure was so huge that it hurt my neck looking up at the enormity of it agaist the background of a rich pink sky littered with magnificent clouds .
"The king is waiting most honorable ether guardian." The young boy says as he bows and we get fown of the silver carriage.
The rainbow rays formed on the precise cuts of the crystal walls of the arched corridors lined with tall guards who bowed low as we passed. The ceiling glimmering with lights out of carved crystals. The floor looked flawlessly glossy.
The throne hall was an extension to the corridor. The huge rose quartz throne was adorned with a man with pearl white hair. He was dressed in a silver tunic and pants and golden boots. His violet eyes twinkle like the crown on top of his silver head and was looking more like a halo over his head. His smile was gentle as he saw us approaching. Erebor bowed before him and so did we all. He showed us his pearly smile as his skin on the cheeks folded with a dent of a dimple. In simple words...He was majestically handsome. He didn't look more older than Erebor. And yet he was the king. "Rise guardian...You shall not bow in front of me...you are our protector its me who shall pay my respect to you. As he stood his translucent holographic wings glimmered.
"The king of Crystallox thanks you profusely on the occasion of such trust you bestowed upon me. I will be more than honored to help you your majesty." I smile at him. "I am flattered that you think it's an honour guardian..but its me who is honoured.....but am sure you had a pleasant journey with my brother?" I made an apologetic smile..."The fire hawks attacked us." Erebor says with as matter of fact. The king's face hardened on the news. "Tell me brother does it mean that Rubin knows about her arrival?" The king almost whispered in rage. " It's hard to tell ... They might not know...because I believe they were just send to terrorize us." The king's expression melted a bit. Atlast he smiles." Well it seems you had a hectic journey...Erebor please show her the caverns...please rest my dear...we shall discuss matters in the evening...oh and I almost forgot...we have a ball tomorrow evening to welcome our special guest...our maids will help you to prepare...please feel free to ask them anything...They are at your disposal now." I thanked him again and Erebor took us one by one to our resting rooms.
"Shall you be my company for tomorrow's ball?" Erebor suddenly says. His eyes twinkle under the lights and his expectant eyes looking directly at me.
