'At the stroke of the midnight hour when the world sleeps India will awake to its freedom........'

On 15 of August at the stroke of the midnight hour these famous lines were delivered by our first honorable Prime Minister Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru. Since then there is no looking back. Each morning brings with it a new opportunity, a new day and a fresh new start. India awakes to its freedom every single day. Today on this great day which marked the beginning of India's prosperity I feel privileged and grateful to have a chance to write something for my country. Today that we enter the 71 st stage of Independence, I would like to bring  notice to the world the great heights India has achieved since its independence.

With the 200 year old British Raj ending and the Britishers leaving our country in a turmoil to the ISRO launching 104 satellites and making it world news. This long journey travelled by India makes its unique and different from rest of the world. India has proved our freedom fighters' dream of a free country. The great martyrs laid down their  lives for the freedom of their country and its prosperity.

India over these years has been a significant landmark in the world. Today we gather here not to point out the weaknesses of our country but to cherish the development and strong points of our country. Independence day is a day to be celebrated with passion, a feeling of patriotism and love towards our country. We should on this auspicious day also not forget the great freedom fighters, soldiers and many other people in disguise who make our country safe and a better place to live.

I believe that the the thought 'India is still not independent is totally wrong.' A true independence is achieved when your rituals and beliefs grow together without any fear. In this transition of 70 years India has experienced many ups and downs but it still faces all its obstacles bravely. Our country's diverse culture , values , morals, the clothes we wear and different religions make our county untied and strong. It is very important to know that we can celebrate our  independence  but it is more important to ensure that we are not living in-dependence . The soul of nation was long suppressed but now has found a voice and today is the day when our nation's soul speaks up.

It is  at this very moment that we take a pledge of dedication and determination to serve our country and its people. After all  the future of our country lies in our hands. In the end I wish you all a very happy Independence day!!

Bharat Mata Ki Jai!
