What comes to your mind first when you hear the word STRONG? Well most of us think about strong and muscular men or animals.
Even in the English language we use certain words and phrases to describe men and certain words and phrases to describe women. Have you ever thought why is this so?
This is because of our own thinking which is inspired by the people and things going around us. It is truly said that its is not an issue of gender equality but it is one of our social responsibility.
The same goes with sports, we often link this word with men. But the time has changed and so is the connection of women with sports. Today a woman is not just a damsel in distress instead they are strong and their talents and capabilities have been recognized by the society and nation. Today a woman is the real face of the century.
Its truly said 'If you expect life to be easy, challenges will seem difficult. If you accept that challenges may occur, life will be easier.'
This is for all the wonderful women who in spite of facing difficulties and challenges have inspired millions to women to follow their dreams.
Women have always contributed their fair share everywhere but have we recognized them? NO. Its such a shame that we still don't realize the importance of women in each and every field.
The younger talented girls of India living in rural areas still face difficulties but they still rise and shine on their own.
I hope the situation turns out to be better and the mentality of people changes soon. Hats off to those wonderful women who have made this world a better place to live in. In the end I would like to quote and tell all the women out there that be strong because Strong Is Beautiful.
' The only one who can't tell you , you can't win is you, yourself and you don't have to listen to it.'
