Yeonsu was once a soldier that protected Silla's royal family. He was very loyal and did what he must as a soldier. The Royal family had no doubts of him, so they would always give him time for himself as appreciation for his duties. That time off was used to travel.
On one of these travel trips he stumbled upon something new. Near the seaside he found two orphan girls in a narrow looking boat. Judging from their features they were not native to the land.
He looked around, not seeing anyone near the area. Finally after some thinking he decided to take them home and raise them. He named the oldest Cheonsa, and the youngest Kkum.
He took them on his travels and taught them everything they needed to know. Everyone came to adore the girls, even the royal family. They befriended many of the children in the city and on their travels. Yeonsu would take them to meet his friends all around the kingdom.
Over the years, the girls' features, though foreign, came to be very beautiful in many people's eyes. They acquired many admirers, but that wasn't something they wanted to occupy their lives.
When the girls were in their early teens Yeonsu decided to take them on a three year trip. Two years with him and one year on their own for training.
Yeonsu knew he was getting old. He wasn't that young when he found the girls. He knew that sickness would take over his body one day, so he wanted to take the girls on one last trip.
For two years they spent together having fun. When the two years were coming to an end Yeonsu had become very ill. They went back to Silla to treat him, but within a few weeks he died.
Cheonsa and Kkum fell into despair. They wanted to isolate themselves from the others. They couldn't bear the death of their father, the only family they've ever had. In his honor, they were going to finish the trip like they promised.
Everything was left to them including his falcon, Beongae. They used him to send messages whenever they traveled.
The girls said goodbye to their friends of Silla and left on their journey. They wouldn't come back for a while.
Though, the trip was planned for one year they decided to continue for almost another 2 years.
~Almost Three Years Later~
The guards at the gate of Silla were just doing their jobs. Watching to see who wanted to enter the walls. Hardly anyone entered for a while. Suddenly, they spotted something in the distance.
"Is that a... mule pulling a cart?" one of the guards said.
As it got closer to them they realized that it really was a mule pulling a cart. The cart was covered in a dark blanket but they could see the sacks and crates of things poking out from underneath.
The other guard squinted his eyes to get a better look at the cart, "Yeah, but where's it's driver?"
The guards became suspicious and started to prepare for some kind of surprise attack. One of the them heard something fall next to his ear with a splat. He looked to see a new spot of white on his shoulder.
"Aishh! What the..," he looked up to find a falcon flying around. A glint reflected off it and momentarily blinded him. He blinked a few times and tried to get a better look at it. He was able to make out a familiar collar around one of its feet.
"Is that-?" He was soon cut off when he and the other guard were suddenly knocked over. They were able catch a glimpse of two figures in black go pass them and into the city walls. They began to panic. They got up and was about to run off but then a note fell in front of them. One of them picked it up and read it. He sighed in relief then passed the note to the other guard. They looked forward again to see that the mule had stopped in front of them and they chuckled. Another note sat on the pile in the cart saying, 'You mind taking care of this for us?'
They knew exactly who had come through. The first note they had said,
We're back!

-꿈"Well, let's get started."
It was a pretty peaceful day in the city. Everyone was just going about their business until they noticed a whole bunch of commotion starting up. It began near the gates and was making its way to the center of the city. People in the streets were wondering what was going on. Nothing was out of place or knocked over. Soon, everyone came to notice the figures in black running through the streets and jumping off the walls and crates. No one knew who it was until their hoods fell down and everyone was shocked.
Naturally curled hair. Bright round eyes. Playful smirks releasing contagious laughter as they looked at everyone's reactions.
Those features.
There was no doubt in their minds that it was those two girls. The ones that they haven't seen in quite a while. People rejoiced and spread the news like wildfire. It was time to celebrate.
