I sat down in the back of my chemistry class, like usual. I put my head down and waited for class to start, considering I was really early.
"Hey." I looked up. There was a guy with dark brown hair and the prettiest blue eyes I'd ever seen sitting next to me. "I'm Alex."
I blushed and put my head back down. "I'm Roxy. You must be new here. Haven't heard the stories about me. You wouldn't be talking to me if you had."
"What are you talking about?" Alex asked.
"You'll find out soon enough," I said.
"Okay...?" Alex said. "This is kind of a random question, but do you like Sleeping with Sirens?"
"They're okay," I said. "Pierce the Veil is better though."
He smiled. "We're gonna get along great."
I thought for a minute. Maybe I should give this guy a chance. He doesn't seem like an asshole. He gives off that same feeling as Juliet. Maybe I should start talking to her too...
I lifted my head up and flipped my hair out of my eyes. "Maybe we are."
I talked to him for another ten minutes about stuff like bands and video games. Maybe we will get along. We kept talking until class started.

We walked out of class together.
"We should hang out again sometime," said Alex.
No we shouldn't! "Yeah, sounds fun." God dammit stupid brain.
"Are you doing anything tomorrow after school?" Alex asked. "You could come over and we could play some Call of Duty."
"I'm not doing anything," I said. "I'll bring some snacks and stuff."
"Awesome." He started to walk away, but then turned back around. "I almost forgot!" He took out a pen and wrote something on my hand. "That's my number. Text me when you're about to leave. I'll send you my address. So I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Definitely," I said. "Bye."
"Bye."
