I don't understand?

“Sorry love, I don’t understand?” he said pretending to not know what I’m going on about.

“C’mon Klaus, I know you were the last person to see him, you said he could be useful, what for?” I hissed.

He laughed lightly moving out of the way of the door for me to come inside, I stomped in and stood in the middle of a very lavish living room with cream furniture and big open windows letting lots of light fill the room.

“So much more than a pretty face,” he said moving into the living room, “I misjudged you Caroline.” Blankly stating pouring him a drink, then offered me one which I politely declined.

I began to shake, “look, I don’t know what’s going on but I do know that I left Ty with you, and hearing that he went missing is eating me alive! I’m even here at a total stranger’s house because of the guilt that if something happened to him, it would be my fault,” I sighed, “so please, do you know where he is?”

“Why don’t you think he just went off to blow some steam, you know get away for a bit?”

“When Tyler’s drunk, everyone’s in danger around him, he’s a mess okay? If you left him there then there’s a good chance that someone has taken him because I know that he wouldn’t have been able to move with the amount of drink he had and the injury’s that you gave him.” I stated as a matter of fact.

“Are you sure you want to know? Once you do there’s no going back…”he dragged. What the hell does he mean no going back?

“If you’ve got something to say, say it.” I spat moving towards him with my arms crossed. Where is all this confidence coming from?

He sighed, “I’m a vampire Caroline.”

I narrowed my eyes, “I don’t have time for this.” I turned around and started to make my way for the door but was stopped when something stopped me from leaving. He got there so fast it was impossible. His eyes were all black with veins popping out of the skin from underneath, I stopped still trying to remember how to breathe.

“No, no it’s... its-“I was interrupted.

“The truth Caroline.” He spoke with a lower voice. I didn’t know what to do. Do I run and shout from the roofs? But I couldn’t move, my feet were stuck to the floor.

“I…I don’t really know what to do? I feel like I want to scream it from the rooftops but for some reason, I cant.” How do I take this in and what does this have to do with Tyler? “Tell me everything.” I said sitting on the couch waiting for him to explain this whole vampire thing.

And he did. He spent practically the whole day telling me about who he is and what he eats. I still can’t believe it after hours of explanation that the fact that the man in front of me is the first vampire in the world.

Klaus pov

She’s beautiful. Everything about her is utter and complete perfection, ever since I first saved her from that mutt her beautiful face stood out above everyone on this earth. I have to know her, hence why I’m telling her I’m s vampire. And she took it really well, she was a little shocked at first but she listened to hours of me blabbering on about my life and she was actually laughing at times.

Yes of course I had Tyler; I need a stupid werewolf to break the curse so I can become a hybrid. It’s not convenient because the pesky little things are hard to come by but it also happens that the doppelgänger lives in this town so it won’t be long until I pay her a little visit as well.

“wow.” Was all Caroline could say. I don’t blame her, 1 thousands years in a few hours was hard to explain. There was a long silence until she decided to speak up again, “so not that this is fascinating or anything and I’m not going to lie I feel like you might eat me any minute,” her rambling was cute, “what’s any of this got to do with Tyler?”

The dreaded question, “My mother was unfaithful to her husband back in the day, with a werewolf, I was born and when I changed and killed someone, I became a hybrid, I was vicious and dangerous so my mother placed a spell on me that made my werewolf side dormant. I was and am to this day just another vampire,” I sighed and sat back into the chair, “I want to be a hybrid again, and the only way I can do that is to break a curse that involves a werewolf.”

“And Tyler’s the werewolf.” She finished for me, she is quite smart, “it’s obvious now I think of it, he always acts on impulse gets these mood swings, really strong, but what do you need with him? “She asked in confusion. I looked at her with an ashamed expression. “NO!” she screamed, “you can’t kill Tyler! “She hissed.

“it’s the only way Caroline!” I shot back.

She snorted, “how about don’t do it at all? You said yourself you were vicious and dangerous why would you want to be like that again?”

“I’m stronger now, I can control it,” she wasn’t having any of it, “I can become the strongest thing on this planet, no one would stand in my way!”

“That’s what this is about?” she gaped in disbelief, “POWER? Wow I can’t believe that I even listened to you!” she screamed running for the door. I flashed in front of her. I don’t want to do this but I have to. I don’t want to compel her, I can’t anyway her mother must be putting it in drinks or something because I can smell it on her. But I can’t let her run out of here telling people about me; there are other vampires in this town that can’t know about me.

I grabbed her by the waist and took her upstairs to a guest room and chained her up to the bed. She was kicking and screaming trying to break free but she was nothing compared to my strength.

“let me go Klaus!” she cried, “you can’t do this!” I ignored her completely locking the door and heading downstairs pouring myself a drink. I could hear her crying upstairs. I shouldn’t of told her, this is now just one big mess…
