what have i done?

I woke up early morning in an unfamiliar place. The events of last night hit me making me groan and put a pillow over my face. How did Klaus think that he could kill an innocent person just so he could get more power? What am I even saying, he’s a thousand years old, and he’s probably killed millions of innocent people. The thought made me shiver in disgust.

I jumped out of bed sliding my dress back on from yesterday and walking down stairs to find the house empty, I called Klaus name loudly a few times to see if he was in the house which I don’t think he is so I made my way to the front door. I opened it quickly in an attempt to escape but was hit by an invisible barrier.

“What the—“I was cut off by the devils spawn himself.

“Don’t bother; it’s a spell,” he said deviously, “your trapped.”

 Elena’s pov

“So this Klaus person has Caroline? What for? We need to get her back, now!” I cried in front of Stefan. All of this news was too much, finding out about vampires, and then it turns out that Bonnie is a witch, and now Caroline has been taken by the world’s strongest vampire? I think I'm about to pass out.

“We don’t know why he’s got her, maybe she has information that he doesn’t want to give out.” He spoke softly trying to comfort me.

“How much of a threat is he to Caroline?”  i asked anger and anticipation rising.

His face softened, “it will be lucky if she is still alive.” Those words broke my heart, what if Caroline was dead?

“We need to go see him,” I said courage spurring within me; “if she’s still alive we could save her! She might not be dead, where is he?” standing up of the couch.

“I can’t let you do that Elena,” he shot back reaching out for me but I pulled away almost in tears, “I don’t know why he’s here and what he is here for, I refuse to put you in harm’s way.”

“CAROLINE IS IN DANGER STEFAN!” I screamed tears threatening to release.

“I know, I know, I'm going to go see what he wants okay? But I won’t let you get hurt,” he took my hands in his staring into my eyes I was attached, “promise me you will stay here?”

 I had no choice but to obey, sighing I nodded my head and sitting back down in the chair sulking. Stefan sighed walking out of the room leaving me alone in his home. I didn’t know how to occupy myself when my best friend could be dead, what would you do finding out that vampires exist and the oldest, meanest vampire has stolen your best friend. Also finding out that Bonnie is somehow a witch and Tyler is god knows what.

I got up from the chair and started wandering around the empty hall of the boarding house. It was quiet, somewhat homely with the sight of trees swaying out of the big open windows. I opened a door walking into what looked like a library, and started scanning the shelves for books that I might be remotely interested in.

The door slammed downstairs and for a moment I had hoped it was Stefan but then I realised that he was only gone 5 minutes so it couldn’t have been him. A deep voice filled the empty silence, “Baby brother!” someone shouted, “I'm home.” A devious tone filled from his words, who was this?

I slowly walked downstairs, “hello?” I asked, fear churning within me.

Something flashed in front of me grabbing my waist and pushing me full force into the wall. I'm not a detective but I think he may be a vampire.  By his almost black hair and bright eyes a very attractive vampire at that.

“Who are you?” he asked looking very confused.

“E…Elena.” I stumbled out. He was making my whole body shake with fear, an evil smirk played on his lips as he released me from his grasp.

“I take it baby bro didn’t mention me…” he did this weird yet very attractive eye thing, I scrunched my brows in confusion, and “I'm Stefan’s brother, Damon.”

Stefan never mentioned a brother, it was odd since he just spilled his whole life story to me and yet he forgot to mention that he had a brother, “Stefan didn’t mention he had a brother?” he could be anyone pretending to be his brother to get to me. No, I'm just going insane.

“What can I say?” he sighed teasingly, “He never did like mentioning me, being the better looking brother was always hard on poor old Stefan.” Maybe he never mentioned him because he was a total dick.

“I should go,” walking down the stairs, “Stefan won’t be long.” I left straight away not wanting to deal with some egotistical jerk when my best friend’s life is in danger.

 Stefan’s pov

“KLAUS!”  I shouted standing outside his house. I heard shuffling before the door was swung open by a distressed Caroline.

“STEFAN!” Caroline screamed at the entrance, “Klaus is going to-“She was cut off by the Klaus’s hand.

“sorry to interrupt the reunion mate but I think play times over.”

A/N sorry i havent uploaded in a while but ive had exams and blah blah blah.   my laptop is broke so im having to write this on my ipad. its a pain in my ass. BUT since im now allowed to go back to being an Unsociable Netflix adict going to try update a lot more for you guys. Thanks for reading !
