Once Upon a Spirit(ON HOLD for ?)

Episode 4a: The Village of Return

Exodic here with the long-awaited(...I'm waiting... to say) Episode 4. No need for introductions so let's begin the next adventure.

Exodic's POV

Silver and Laiko continued their trek to the village with their Pokemon. When they got to the plateau overlooking the land, they stared at what had become of the village.

The land had burned and dried up due to the drought and lack of attention. The houses and buildings were deserted and crumbled due to erosion.

"Where are all the villagers?" Laiko asked to no one. And of course, since no one knew or was around, the only thing that answered him was the dry, hot wind. They headed down the plateau and toward the village.

...

When they got there...

"Hide!" Silver hissed. Laiko looked around, but Silver pulled him down inside a destroyed house, behind a wall.

"What?" Laiko whispered.

"Soldiers." Silver replied. Laiko realized that Aura had told Silver about some footsteps and large bodies moving around. They waited til they could hear no more and sighed in relief.

"Absol." Silver looked toward the sound. An Absol was standing behind another wall. Silver looked around then she and her team headed toward the Absol. Absol made some space. They looked at each other. Aura and Eva looked interested and Cinder, Tree, and Calavera looked between them. 

"Wanna come with me?" Silver asked. Absol looked at her, then at the other Pokemon, then back at Silver. Absol nodded. Silver smiled and hugged Absol. "Thank you Abby." Abby nodded. Eva and Aura hugged Abby and got on her. The other 3 went back to their Pokeballs. Silver let go of Abby and pet her. She looked back at her brother and saw he was trying to bond with a Bronzor that had been hiding.

After giggling at her brother's idea of bonding with the Bronzor, she turned to Abby. "Abby, do you know what these are for?" She opened the case of weapons with a gray jewel. Abby nodded and gestured to the mountain towering over the land. "We have to go there?" She nodded. "Okay..."

Silver told her brother about the info. Laiko decided to stay behind, using some of the buildings as a shelter. Silver and her team rode Abby and she ran toward and up the mountain. They nearly ran into some Pokemon at the base of the mountain: Honedge and 2 Ralts, 1 male and 1 female. Silver decided to take them along. Once all were safe, Abby continued the journey to the top of the mountain.
