Once Upon a Spirit(ON HOLD for ?)

Episode 2: The Beginning of the Beginning

Hey there! Welcome back to "Once Upon a Spirit". Name's Exodic and I'm the narrator for this episode(and possibly the whole story).

Today I plan to talk about our protagonist and the beginning of their journey to save the land we call Sayorden. Now...ready to begin? No? Too bad, 'cause I am.

Exodic's POV

The next part of our story begins sometime in June of the 2nd year of King Kent's rein. There was a family of 3, turning 4 with a baby girl born late June. The father was a farmer who mostly farmed Sitrus and Leppa berries. His Pokemon were a male Espeon, a male Lampent, and a male Gigalith. The mother was a housewife and a cook who made lots of berry dishes. His Pokemon were a female Espeon, a male Bisharp, and a male Flareon. (Author-chan likes to make her OC's parents gay in some verses.) They had a little boy named Laiko, who was born about 2 years ago. The baby girl was named Silver after the silver ends of her thin, black hair. 

In July, another drought occurred, causing nearly all the berry trees to die. At the end of the month, only a few bushels of tiny berries were harvested, causing trouble to arise. That amount of berries wouldn't help the remaining families pay for the taxes and feed themselves. Silver and Laiko's parents discussed what to do. They decided to leave their children in the marshlands outside their town to protect them. They hid along with them 2 eggs and some Sitrus and Leppa berries. They hoped the wild Pokemon could help watch over them. They headed home to wait for the "tax collector soldiers". When they came, they were arrested and locked away in the dungeons along with all the other people who couldn't pay repeated taxes. They stayed together and hoped for a savior.

Exodic's POV(just 'cause)

Alrighty. That's the end of all the intro. Author-chan felt like the intro was too long so she divided it up into 2 parts, even if the 2nd part is shorter. Next time is a timeskip to 5 years later when Silver is 6 years old.

Note: A ruthless king's reign is too long at 10 years(even 1 year is too long) so Author-chan shortened it to ?(number between 2-10)
Warning: Silver and Laiko will not be "old enough" to own Pokemon(10 years old) at a 5 year timeskip. So please do not complain about the fact that they are "too young" to own Pokemon.
