Miggy proved to be a real angel. He has this positive outlook in life, even though he already accepted the fact that chances for adoption are minimal due to his age. We're on our last night and Sister Beth said that each pair will share their leanings and realization. We are inside our room and Jade is busy packing her things. I can't believe it's all going to end tomorrow. The days spent with Jade are the days I will always treasure. I got the chance to know her, with that I fall even more. She's from a wealthy family and may look like a princess but reality is she's very down-to-earth. Never did I hear any complain while we're scrubbing those countless plates. I saw her break a nail, but she just scrubs it off. At night we would talk about anything until morning. I never got a descent sleep, I would pretend to be sleeping and when I heard those soft breathing, I would open my eyes and just look at her. Sometimes I get tempted to go in for a kiss, but I can't. I respect her too much to take advantage.
I was taken out of dreamland when I saw her walking in.
"Do you like me?"
My heart skips a beat with the question. Am I that obvious? Since she already asks, it's now or never.
"Yes Jade, since 5th grade."
I honestly said. Few days I spent with her change everything; I feel more relax. I'm not scared anymore, I'm complete. She looks confuse. She checks the paper she was holding and look back at me.
"It's question number one silly. 'Do you like your partner?'. On the guideline for our speech later."
She's waving the paper in my face. I search for my copy of the guideline and read. I look back at her and she's already giggling. I'm lost for words; I just confess to the love of my life and it's not as romantic as I imagine it to be.
"Oh my....I'm sorry Jade."
I'm trying my best to control my blushing cheek. Jade makes her way to the door, as she reaches the knob she turns around and giggle some more.
"We better get back to the activity area Althea"
After that she disappear at the door leaving me speechless. As I was about to stand up, she reappears at the entrance showing only half of herself.
