This is my first time to ride a bike, the convenience and freedom it brings felt good. I notice Althea taking extra precautions, minimal overtaking and tolerable speed. We're on our way to Willa's, its her birthday that's why Althea brought her a gift. I wrap my hands tighter to my girlfriend's waist. Having a relationship for the first time gives me jitter's, my partner being a girl makes its surreal. We arrived at a Spanish inspired bungalow house, its already crowded with people and I saw Batchi singing at the Videoke. Althea safely park her bike near the gate and we make our way to the crowd. We're holding each other's hand, clearly showing off our status. As we passed by random people, I could hear a few grasp and a few 'oh my god, their a couple?'. A girl, she's Abby I think, she whisper something at Batchi and she turn to our direction. She covers her mouth in disbelief.
"Bro, you hit the jackpot."

Jade extended her hand for a handshake. Batchi playfully accepted Jades hand. She's still shaking her head in disbelief.
"I'm sorry Jade, I'm just so happy for my friend right here."
Batchi tapping my shoulders.
"Hey Althea, finally you're here."
Willa came out of nowhere, she notice Jade's presence and her expression swift from wonderful to whatever. I once again introduced Jade as my girlfriend and Willa being the person that she is, gave Jade the weakest handshake I have ever seen. We enjoyed the food and company of my friends, even though its Jade's first time to mingle with them, she was able to win them over. Blame her natural charm for that. I attentively assisted Jade with everything she needed, I don't want her to feel out-of-place. Batchi made fun of me for being 'over acting', can she blame me?
"So Jade, how long have you two been together?"
Willa ask with that monotone of hers. Jade looks at her watch and turn back to Willa.
"Four hours ago."
My girlfriend said smiling.
"Does your mean girls friends know? Your family?"
Willa really knows how to offend people. I rest my hand on Jades shoulder, but she just squeeze it, giving me an 'I got it under control' look.
"Not yet Willa but I got no problem opening up to them, yes, this may be my first relationship and Althea may be my first girlfriend but that doesn't mean I don't know how to take a stand. I choose her for a reason and I know she's worth it."
