I'm on my 20th gift shop, Batchi's starting to lost her patience. We have spend the last 4 hour's roaming around Mall of Asia (MOA).
"Make up your mind bro, my feet is killing me."
We sat down at one of the open bench, Batchi massage her knee in frustration.
"I don't know batch, its our first month together and I want it to be special, I have no idea what to give Jade."
I sink myself beside her, I feel hopeless.
"I thought you know her to well, 8 years of stalking for nothing?"
Batchi slap her forehead.
"It's not that bro, I mean look at her, she's a heiress, a real life princess, what could I possible give her that she don't already have or can't afford to buy?"
Both my shoulders are down, I'm defeated.
"Maybe you don't have to buy anything bro, make something that only the great Althea Guevarra can make. Your smart nut-head, you already know what I mean."
With that, an invisible incandescent bulb light up above my head. I know exactly what to do.

My squad ask me in unison. One minute I'm enjoying my alone time at the school park with just me and my algebra book, and now I'm surrounded by my bff's.
"Are you guys practicing for the glee club?"
I joke and they are not pleased. Sally started talking.
"Jade, I heard from a friend's friend that you show up at some Willa's natal party with your activity buddy. How true is this?"
She cross her arm, a firm one, it means she's serious.
"Guys, relax will you. Yes Sally, I went to Willa's birthday party a month ago and yes I was with Althea."
Sally and Pearl cover their mouth in shock, while Solenn's expression is tamer than the two, its as if she's already expecting it.
"That explains your disappearance every now and then. Tell me best, is she courting you?"
Pearl ask with a sympathetic tone. All three girls anticipate my reply. I took a deep breath .
"No she is not courting me."
I turn my phone on and show them my wallpaper, its Althea smiling to the camera while I'm doing the 'that's my pogi' hand gesture to her.
