"This is gonna be the best weekend of you're single life shobe."
Pearl said while we manouver our way to Sally's resthouse in Tagaytay. She's driving and im in the passenger seat looking at my pre-nuptial photos and video on my phone. I cant help but smile at how much the camera love Althea. I suddenly miss her, i search her name on my phonebook. Althea is on the way to her own bachelorette party.
"What are you doing Jade?"
Pearl ask.
"Im just gonna say 'hello' it would be quick."
I answer.
This weekend is our bachelorette party and rule #1: No phonecalls to bf/gf.
I smile at pearl while she role her eyes.
"Hello lab? Anything wrong?"
Althea sounds worried. I can hear Batchi and Will laughing in the background.
"No, no everythings good, i just just just....i miss you love."
I lower my voice.
"I miss you too lab. Are you in tagaytay already?"
I peep at the window.
"Yes love uhm..."
Someone snatch her phone.
"Hey princess, remember rule #1?"
Willa obviously in nagging tone.
"Yes i do Willa, let me say my goodbye to Althea."
She laugh while i hear Althea argue with Batchi.
"No can do, its your bachelorette party guys, give it to yourselves, its your last chance to enjoy your life before you get hitch."
I silently nod in approval.
"Okay okay, you guys keep Althea out of harm and out of someone else's arm okay?"
"That we cant promise princess, ok bye."
She hang up the line, i throw my phone to the dashboard in frustration.
"Chill shobe, we're gonna have a party of our own."
Pearl wink.
"Im dont feel good about this."
I cover my face in anticipation.

"Hey guys, the soon to be prisoner, i mean soon to be bride is here."
Solenn shouted when she saw me walk in the door. The resthouse is located in a hill, with a marvelous view of the city lights. The house is in party mode, alcohol and glitters scattered around.
"Hey you, excited for this weekend?"
Sally ask, she's holding a red plastic cup and from the looks of it, my dear Sally is drunk and its just 4 in the afternoon.
"Yeah, i guess."
I answered.
I survey the crowd, my squad is here Solenn, Pearl and Sally. Some friends from college, Liza, Bianca and Georgina. Random people from work and common friends. Its a sold out party.
"Hi Jade."
Liza approach me. I didnt really like her since that one time she express interest in Althea.
"Hey Liza, good thing you made it."
She laugh and sip her red plastic cap.
"Would not miss it for the world."
