Thanks to some of your parents' friends you didn't know before, you had managed to obtain a job at Pledis. You were an aspiring manager/publicist, so working there was perfect for you. You were assisting Pristin's manager. That's how you got to hang around Seventeen, Nu'Est, Raina and all of Pledis' other artists, when they said Pledis was a big and united family, it was true. One of the best friends you had made there was Hwang Minhyun. You were around the same age, liked the same things, and had similar personalities. You hadn't been able to see much of him while he was working with Wanna-One, you mostly texted, but now that he was back in Nu'Est you were able to spend more time together. You had feelings for him. How could you not? He was handsome and cute at the same time, he had a voice of gold, an adorable laugh, and he was a sweet but mischievous character. Of course, you didn't plan on acting on those feelings. He was a precious friend of yours, he had a career built on his innocence, and he had better girls to choose from. You were contempt with having him for some platonic times.

The last few days had been stressful for you. Nu'Est was promoting their new comeback, Seventeen was on a world tour and Pristin was preparing their own comeback. Not to mention the other individual artists who were also active. You had thousands of things to do, especially since your boss -Pristin's first manager- was ill. Pledis was growing bigger and on the way of placing itself among the most successful companies of the industry. The current atmosphere there was weird, almost as if everyone was freaking out because they had a lot of things to care for at the same time and didn't want to make mistakes like they had made with After School's and Nu'Est's careers. That was one thing you were happy about. Pledis had admitted how horrible they had been, and they were now trying to redeem themselves. That's why you were happy and even proud to be working there.

That day, Pristin was filming their dance practice video for the comeback. The song was a ballad with touches of deep house. The dance was changing from soft and slow movements to energetic parts. It was different from their debut song, which could not be bad. "All right, girls. Good job. I think you've earned an early dismissal. You can go back to your dorm. And remember, no practice tomorrow, it's a holiday." You told the group with a smile. Those girls were your friends too, but you didn't have a deep connection as you had with Minhyun. Speaking about him, you decided to check on Nu'Est. You walked the hallways to find their practice rooms. The door was transparent, so you could see they were having a Vlive. You watched them for a couple of seconds before turning around, not wanting to bother them. You decided to sit on the couch in the building's entrance to wait for them; you had finished your day yourself and wanted to greet your friends goodbye before leaving. You could have turned on your phone to watch their live-show but you were tired and decided instead to close your eyes for a while.

It rarely happened to you, but you were truly stressed lately, which caused you to fall asleep there, on the couch. The past few days had made you exhausted and you were glad the next day was a holiday, even though that didn't mean you would have no work to do. You were woken up by a hand shaking your shoulder and a face only a few centimeters apart from yours. "Mmh?" You mumbled, slowly opening your eyes. "Minhyun-oppa!" You almost yelled out of surprise. He looked concerned, and had a slight frown, while his eyes were stuck on yours.

"Yah, (_____)-ie." He said, squeezing your shoulder. "Are you okay? You're always energetic, why did I find you sleeping today?" He asked with a serious tone in his voice.

"Ah, uhm, I..." You shook your head and pinched your hand discretely. You didn't want Minhyun to see you hurt yourself, but it was a good way to wake up more quickly. "I'm just tired, that's all. I have a lot of work." You explained, not willing to say how much stress you were under. He had too many things to worry about already, you didn't want to be one of them, and you knew he would worry if you did tell him. "Thanks for waking me up, though! I was waiting for you." You added with a smile. Both of your faces were close to each other, but you weren't blushing. Even though you had feelings for your friend, you managed not to get flustered every time he would talk to you or even touch you.
