This was it, NU'EST's first grand concert since Minhyun came back into the group. And it was the best thing you could have imagined for them. They were able to perform in a stadium, without being a part of a lineup. The concert was entirely theirs. They never had the chance to perform in front of such a huge audience before, and it was truly emotional for them. And you were there, backstage, looking at the whole picture, teary-eyed in front of such happiness.
You had moved in Korea thanks to a friend who shared the same passion about kpop. She told you she was planning on signing up for a semester in Seoul university to learn Korean. You went with her, deciding it could only bring your resume some interesting experience. Plus, you needed a break from your everyday life, and really wanted to live somewhere else than your home country. During your semester, you had met Aron in the subway. He was wearing a mask at the time so you hadn't recognized him. You both exchanged numbers and started talking by texts until he finally invited you on a date where he showed you who he was. You've now been dating for six months. And even though you weren't there for Nu'Est when they had all of their struggles -apart from Minhyun's absence-, you could still feel their ultimate happiness as they were standing, the five of them together, on a major stage. You felt proud of them, but most of all you felt relieved that they were finally standing on the flower path that they deserve.
As you were leaning against a pole, watching the stage from behind and from afar, you could feel the warmth of all the fans' cheers. Nu'Est had just finished singing, and the love they were receiving was overwhelming. All of the fan chants finally made you cry. Tears rolling down your cheeks, you greeted the members as they were coming backstage. The concert wasn't finished just yet, as the boys had planned to sing 'Thank You' as their encore and last stage, but they had to pretend it was.
"(_____)-ah, don't cry!" Ren walked up to you, cupping your cheeks with both of his hands. You could see he was also on the verge of crying.
"I'm just so happy for you guys." You told him, smiling happily despite the tears.
"That's so nice." He said, taking back his hands and running to the changing room.
All the members were to drink some water, change their shirts and come back on stage to sing their last song. You could already hear the crowd ask for an encore. You turned around, looking at the room and the members changing. Before you even had time to recognize who was still buttoning his shirt, JR ran past you, screaming at the members to hurry. The leader drank more of his bottle as he stood on the edge of the stage, ready to go back on it. Aron was the second to follow, unless he didn't run past you. He stood in front of you, wiped your tears and put his lips on yours. He didn't move until JR told him to hurry again. He didn't say anything, he didn't need to. You could see his happiness and gratefulness just by looking into his eyes. That, and the fact that he had just kissed you in front of the whole backstage crew.
The 'Thank You' stage was beautiful. There was no choreography, instead the members focused on their vocals, which, even after a long concert, were still great. You tried to wipe your tears, but you couldn't stop crying. Especially not after JR's speech. When Nu'Est finally left the stage for good, they smiled at you as they were passing you, except Aron, who grabbed your hand.
"Sweet (_____). I know you're tired, please go into my room and get some rest until we can tidy everything."
"But, Aron-oppa... You don't have a lot to tidy, you're having another concert tomorrow." You answered him, tilting your head to the side. On top of having this huge concert in the stadium today, the tickets had sold out so fast that they were able to open another show the day after.
