"Now look what you've gotten yourself into, Odahviing. This is the third time you've managed to get trapped in a cave." I teased as I watched Odahviing try to move some rocks, which had fallen over the entrance to a cave the two of us were making make-shift camp in. "Well, dovah, you could come help me get out of here," Odahviing growled, then shoved a rock aside with the end of his wing. "That'd be too easy. Plus, you are a strong Dovah. I'm sure you can get out yourself. The Dovahkiin should be calling for you anytime soon. I circled overhead earlier, and they were getting that trap ready to use." I said, then shoved a boulder aside with my (colour) snout.
By the time Odahviing was set free from the damning cave, the Dovahkiin was already calling for him. "Well, time to go. I'll see you later, Y/n." Odahviing told me, then flew off to Dragonsreach, where the Dovahkiin was waiting.
"Where were you, Odahviing? You've been gone for a few days now." I asked as I saw Odahviing land nearby. "I had to escort the Dragonborn to Alduin's portal to Sovenguard. Now we wait. Either the Dovahkiin will return, or Alduin." Odahviing said, then settled down on the ground.
Three days later, the Dovahkiin returned and called for Odahviing's assistance again. And the same the next day. And the same the next.
After a week of answering to the calls of the Dragonborn, Odahviing finally stopped answering entirely. He had gotten tired of being the Dragonborn's bitch, and just stopped caring. But, once again, the mortal called for a ride.
"Now look what you've gotten yourself into. Want me to go speak to the dragonborn? It seems like hes running you ragged." I asked as I watched Odahviing struggle to stay standing properly. "Go if you want. I doubt you'll be able to reason with that mortal, though." he told me. "I'll be back in a short while. Stay here and sleep some." I told him, then flew off to wherever the dragonborn was calling from. After an hour of flying, I finally landed behind the dragonborn, who looked impatient as all hell. "Took you lot long enough! I need a ride to the throat of the world. I need to speak with Paarthurnax. I don't feel like climbing the steps again." They told me, then attempted to hop up on my neck. I, of course, shook them off, making them fall to the ground on their bottom. "What the hell, Y/n?! I need a ride." They said quickly, then stood. I turned to face them, making my eyes level with theirs, which was a very uncomfortable stance. "You have been running Odahviing ragged, much like a prison owner does to the prisoners. You need to stop, or one of us will make you stop, understand?" I growled at them, and they sighed and nodded in agreement. "Yeah, whatever. Off to make the 2,000 steps again I suppose." They said aloud, then stormed off.
A week later, as I was flying by the throat of the world, I noticed it was empty, aside from the large skeleton of a dragon. Or more specifically, the skeleton of Paarthurnax. Atop one of the taller rocks, the Dovahkiin stood there, basking in their own selfish glory. I landed beside the skeleton, and nudged it a couple times, to see if anything would happen. Of course, as expected, nothing happened, other than some loose bones falling to the ground. I turned back to the Dragonborn, and walked, or rather stomped, over to them. "Why did you do this? His soul is no more powerful than the rest of ours." I asked, and the dovah slayer shrugged. "The Blades offered me help and septims if I slayed him, so I did. Nothing personal, just business." I glared at them, and picked up the mortal by the back of their armour. They struggled, and attempted to stab me with a dagger, but of course, they couldn't. I flew off from the top of the mountain to a more secluded nest, where Odahviing and I had made base.
As I flew low over the nest, I dropped the dovahkiin in the middle of a small patch of red and (colour) eggs. They hit the bottom of the make-shift nest with a loud thud, and the eggs around them began cracking at an alarming rate. After a minuite of circling above, I landed and perched on a tall rock aside Odahviing. "Why are you feeding the last dragonborn to the hatchlings? What have they done now?" Odahviing asked as we watched the mortal scramble about the nest, trying to get away from the now free hatchlings. "Go fly by the throat of the world. You'll see." I said, then looked up at the sky, noting the fact that it was about to storm. Odahviing flew off, to what I assume is the place I mentioned, leaving me to watch the new hatchlings.
"Now look what you've gotten yourself into, Dovahkiin."
(A/N: Ugh, I know this one-shot it kinda centered around fucking over the dragonborn, but I'm writing this whist half asleep, so I cant think rn. Ill edit it later I suppose)
