"We drink to our youth, to days come and gone, for the age of oppression is now nearly done!" I sang loudly over the chatter of everyone in the Palace of the Kings. Every other Nord in the room, including the High King, Ulfric, joined in. "We'll drive out the Empire, and restore what we own! With our blood and our steel, we will take back our home!"

After the rather large feast, everyone, including me, retired to their rooms for the night. After about 10 minutes, there was a light knock on the door to my room. "C'mon in," I said, and the door quickly opened and then shut once the person was inside the room.

"My oh my, what do ya need from me, High King Ulfric? I'm willing to fetch anything for ya." I said and stood.  "Look, I know this must sound crazy, but I need you to do something...important...for me," he said and unclasped the cloak he always wore. "I need to run into the town, and I don't want guards with me this time. I need you to pose as me for an hour while I'm out. You're the tallest, and widest person here that could look like me, so you'll have to do it." he said, then tossed me the heavy woollen cloak. "Uhh...thanks...?" I said awkwardly, then sung it on and did up the buttons on the clasps. "Thank you, Y/n. Go to my chambers, and just sit at my desk. The guards won't know any better. I'll be back soon." he said, then rushed out and slipped into the town.

I went into his chambers and sat at his desk like told. I grabbed a random book, and opened it to make it seem like I was Ulfric, and that he was just sitting at his desk reading. I actually started reading and realised it was an old journal of his. I said "Eyy, why the fuck not" and started reading.

12th of Frostfall-

There was a lass come in today, saying she wanted to join the Stormcloaks. The poor (race) doesn't know what she's getting into honestly. I let her join us, thinking she'd be dead and gone by the first mission, but I have doubts about my original thoughts. She IS a pretty one, so I do kind of hope she sticks around.

"Holy mother of Talos..." I said and continued reading.

24th of Second Seed-

The raid against an imperial camp was successful. They killed everyone, and we only lost one or two men in the fight. I have to say too, the lass, Y/n, is one hell of a fighter. Her reflexes are quicker than a jackrabbit's, and she has the heart of a dragon. Odd, though, not many women are that brave or quick-witted. I think I might be falling for the ol' gal, but Talos knows that would be the undoing of me.

I went to turn another page, but I heard the door open, and heavy footsteps behind me. "Y/n? What are you doing with that book?" I heard Ulfric ask me, and he walked up to me. "Oh, nothing. I was just reading a random book in case anyone walked in. Ya know, to make the act a bit more believable." I told him, then undid the clasp on the cloak and handed it back. "There's that heavy ass cloak of yours too. I don't see how you can wear it all the time. My back hurts from wearing it for just an hour!" I said, then leant back a bit, and I heard multiple bones make a popping noise.

I heard heavy footsteps and someone knocking on the door. "Jarl Ulfric? Are you alright in there?" a guard said. I gave Ulfric a sly grin, then walked over to the door and cracked it open. "Oh, he's quite alright~ Just a small incident~" I purred, then the guard looked behind me. He saw Ulfric standing there by his bed, cloak in hand, and an annoyed look on his face.

The guard started stuttering as he spoke. "O-Oh...I-I didn't mean to intrude...c-carry on..." he said, then quickly walked away to the main hall. "Now, where were we~?" I purred and said it loud enough that any guards outside could hear.
