We followed Halen down a long hallway, taking in every detail until eventually we reached a door. It’s strange. We haven't seen anyone other than Halen. You’d expect more people to be here. I shrug it off and open it, seeing a dimly lit staircase. I walk down, only to see a few doors simply stuffed into the wall. I walk over to one, and open it. It's the place I saw the first time, make if stone with empty chains on the wall. A hole a bit higher up reveals a bit of light. The light proves that it's still day. I sigh, not seeing Jade in there. I walk over to one of the others, this room is empty except for a whip hanging on the wall. The last door was padlocked, so cliche. I freeze the lock, then kick it, causing it to shatter there are no such things as physics. And of course, inside, there she is. She’s bruised and thin. Cuts and scrapes are visible on every part of her. She’s in a torn white dress, her hair is tangled in multiple places. She’s only been here for maybe a week or so… What did they do her? I shake her gently, not sure if I want to wake her up.
“J-Jade… are you okay? Please… answer me… “
Tears start to trace my face. Halen walks over and picks her up. I don't abject and neither does Erin. We walk out of the cell, up the stairs and out of the window we came in from. Halen hands jade to me and waves.
“That was way easier then when I tried to escape. I'm surprised she wasn't under high guard like she used to be. Guess she’s been here long enough for them to stop worrying.”
I just look at Jade's face, covered in dirt and dried blood. I watch as her chest rises and falls before I realize something. I turn to Erin.
“I can't carry both Jade and you unless you want to hang onto my back while we fly. “
She shrugs. “I could do that. Just don't pull any stunts. “
I nod and she hooks her legs and arms around my neck and torso. We look back at Halen “Thanks for the help. Well… I’ll see you around. “
He smiles at us and starts walking towards the road. I get a running start, and takeoff towards home, my wings pounding the air at top speed.
---
It takes us around a day and a half to get back. I didn't stop, no matter how much my wings and body hurt. Erin didn't object. Our stomachs growled, but we refused to land until we got back. Well, let's just say our arrival back was pleasant.
The first thing the pack did was bring Jade back into the pack house, and had her examined and patched up. Then, both mine and Erin's parents called us into our meeting room.
“Where the fuck were you two?! We were all worried sick!”
Well we told them everything. And they were shocked. I even brought up Itzamna and Adrian . They said they were just happy we were home, and that we would go back for the them. Well. After that life was back to normal. Jade eventually woke up, and was a bit more timid and shy but other then that, everything was normal. We had fun in the book and from yard, we trained our powers, and such else. Everything seemed to be okay.
Well… that was until yesterday.
The entire pack heard a loud howl outside. We ran out, only to see around 100-150 other wolves outside our front door. In front, still in human form, was Louis himself.
“Autumn Garnet! We know you're in there! Come out here dammit! “
Did I go out? Yes. But not without the entire pack, consisting of 123 members.
“What do you want, Louis? “ I spat. Anger and annoyance in my voice.
“I want her. I was so close to marking her, and you can't steal someone's mate.” he said with a grin.
