Your (E/C) eyes bore into his charcoal ones, there was no sympathy, like before. There was no sadness nor sorrow like there was that time ago. There were no tears like there was when you stood merely a few feet away from each other all those years ago. Yet, that day was just like today. Except, today, you aimed to kill, and he was not pleased by that at all. You were breaking your word, after all.

Your (S/C) hands were fisted by your sides, your eyes were squeezed shut, and your head was pointed towards the floor. Slowly, tears began to seep through your clenched eyelids, slipping off your face and dripping onto the concrete. The water evaporated as fast as it fell. Your hair slipped from the bow that held it back, making it shadow over your features. The sound of feet walking towards you makes you step back hastily, you throw your head up, your vision blurred with tears, "Don't take a step towards me!" you yell at him. "You say you want to stay, but do you really? You say you wanted to stay with the team, but that feeling was swept away, wasn't it?"

He looks at you calmly, "(N/N), when I leave, will you come after me like Naruto will? Will you side with Naruto or the village in high hopes to kill me for betraying the village?"

He said it so calmly with such a neutral face that it almost scared you. Sasuke notices your taken aback look, but waits for your answer. You wipe your tears with the long sleeves of your Shinobi outfit, the one your mom had left for you before dying. "Sasuke, you're betraying the village, I'm going to be mad, I am, I'm going to be overcome by sadness, but I will never wish death upon you."

Sasuke closes his eyes, when he opens them, they remain the same charcoal color you always adored, but kept to yourself. You weren't a fangirl, in fact, as an extra member of Team Seven, you actually got along fairly well with the Uchiha. He didn't seem too annoyed with your presence, but there were times when you knew you should give him space and leave him alone. You would go as far as the length to call you friends, but with this, you began to second guess that relationship. "I see... would you like to come with me, (N/N)?"

You look up at the sky, processing this information, go with him? The village would go after you, too, right? You were a prodigy of the (L/N) clan, one with a powerful Kekei Genkai and extreme skill when it came to all things Shinobi-like. You would disappoint your family, the dead ones and the one who relied on you the most. You step away from Sasuke, a sad look in your eyes, "I'm sorry, Sasuke, but that meant I'd be abandoning my brother. That would also mean that I may put him in the situation of hav'ting to kill me." You say but pronounce the word "having," differently.

Sasuke seems a bit disappointed, but it disappears, "You've made your decision, and so have I, this is the path I've chosen. Thanks for everything, (Y/N)."

You almost flinched, he never called you by your first name unless he was upset, annoyed, or serious with you. A gust of wind blows through the area and the next thing you know, Sasuke isn't in front of you, but behind you. Before he can knock you out, you face him and catch his wrist. Your expression softens as you look into his eyes, "I look forward to the day I see you again, Uchiha. I will get you back here, alright? No matter what I have to do."

A genuine smile tugs at his lips, "You sound like Naruto."

You laugh slightly, "I mean, I did grow up with him. You should go, I'm giving you-"

Sasuke cuts you off by placing a kiss on your forehead, you, being distracted by the action of affection stare at him in wonder. Sasuke takes advantage of this and knocks you out.

After that day, you had vowed that you'd protect Sasuke, no matter what he did, and you stood your ground for quite some time, alongside Naruto. But there comes a time when we finally break. It was when your brother had gone on a mission and hadn't returned. His Sensei told you that he fought valiantly on behalf of his comrades and herself, but ended up being killed in the process. When you asked who this man was(more like demanded), your little brother's Sensei hesitated before saying the name you never thought would be uttered to you again, especially since everyone knew how driven you were to get him back. People were surprised when you'd stopped defending him and started going against him; you'd convinced yourself that no one would understand the loss you felt, the heavy weight on your heart. You decided to break your vow and avenge it with a new one.
