Alexandra's POV
Pain. Pain is everywhere. Everything hurts. My head, my arms, my body and my legs, especially my left thigh. The explosion was meant to be the distraction, unfortunately I couldn't get out in time, but thank God I'm still alive. But is that really a good thing though? Me being alive? I think everything would've been easier if I was. If I wasn't, I couldn't hurt Talia anymore. It would hurt her at the beginning but she'll get over me, move on, marry shit face and it'll be a happy ending for the both of them. My father as well wouldn't have a disappointment of a daughter anymore. But here I am.
Leo and his gang were able to get free from here and I did my part. I hacked the security system and setup the explosion which Leo pressed quickly which makes me think if it was his last attempt to kill me. I felt guilty though, many innocent people were injured but at least no one died.
I was pulled from my thoughts when the blonde beside me stirred from her sleep and turned to face me so we were now facing each other. Yes, we were sleeping on the same bed. After last night's event, she didn't want to leave my side. It was now very early in the morning, I can tell by the dark sky turning into a shade of dark blue. I have been awake for the past hour, I couldn't go back to sleep. God, she's so beautiful. She was lying on her right side facing me but is still very much asleep. I tried to lift my right hand to caress her magnificent face, but I winced and grunted due to the pain surging through my right arm. This caused the blonde to wake up, sleep still in her eyes but laced with panic and fear.
"Alex? What's wrong?" her voice husked due to lack of use during her sleep. She said as she tried scooching closer to me. Her eyes now filled with worry.
"Nothing, my right arm just hurts, but it's nothing." I said to her, offering a weak smile hoping to ease her mind but to no avail. I could tell she's not buying it by the way her face contorted into a disbelieving look, so I told her honestly,
"It really is fine Talia, I tried to touch your face but ended up hurting my arm." I admitted shyly. Silently thanking God that it's still dark so she can't see the red tint forming on my cheeks. She just smiled warmly at me and leaned in to connect our lips. Her soft lips moving in sync with mine and my tongue wanting to meet hers, swipes across her lower lip, asking for entrance to which she gladly granted. The kiss turned into a steamy make out in just a few seconds but my grunt of pain unfortunately disrupted our session.
"Oh God, I'm so sorry Alex! I got a little carried away." Talia said shyly and worriedly as she tried to distance herself from me. I just smiled at her despite the fact that my body is aching terribly in pain.
"It's fine Talia. The pain is worth it for you." I said to her with a sly smirk. She just snorted to which I just giggled at.
"It's too early for me to handle you being this charming and cheesy." She just rolled her eyes playfully at me and moved closer to my body, nuzzling her head to my neck and an arm over me, being careful not to cause me pain again.
"Let's go back to sleep." She said and I can feel her hot breath on my neck as she talked. It caused me goose bumps and unspeakable feelings coursing throughout my body. I couldn't possibly go back to sleep now, but just inhaling her scent with her being so close to me, sleep claimed me as if using her as bait.
The next morning, the devastating soreness of my body turned into a dull ache. Unfortunately, I had trouble walking due to my injured leg. On the bright side, this made Talia my personal nurse throughout my recovery. When I woke up, I was welcomed by a sight of a delicious warm breakfast which confused me as to why there was food on a tray on my bed. I looked at the blonde responsible for it with a brow raised in question,
