Part One:

Two pink lines, one feeling.

It's wrong. You're just dreaming! This is not real! It can't be! It can't.

She covers her sobs with her hand. Beth couldn't shake the knot in her stomach twisting over and over, writhing inside her like worms on a hook. Her eyes burn immensely from trying to hold back the tears. One night of emotionless sex, with a rough redneck twenty-four years older than her: who is a lone wolf who's bite was the only thing you'd ever see.

"Beth hurry ya' ass up! We're leavin' in five!" Daryl calls from the cabin hallway. After Daryl and the group got out of Terminus and found Beth with Father Gabriel, they trudged along and came across a cabin in the woods.

Beth pulls her panties up along with her pants. She sits against the door and thinks back to that night in the funeral home.

"Keep on singin'." Daryl says as he lays back in an open coffin with his boots still on.

"I thought my singin' annoyed you?" I look at his strong arms flex uncomfortably. His eyes are soft. He hasn't been as angry with me lately. He even gave me a piggy back ride earlier.

"Ain't no jukebox, so..." He relaxes as I turn back to the piano and sing the song "So Good". He starts to fall asleep so I leave and lay on a fuller, comfier couch in the other parlor room. It's so hot that I take my sweater and yellow shirt off and lay in my camisole. I lay looking at the ceiling. An urge and pressure has been rumbling in my stomach since Daryl and I have been talking about personal things. I feel Daryl must be really deeply sleeping so I unbutton my jeans and slip my hand inside my underwear waistband.

"Whatcha doing in there? It's time to go Beth!" Maggie comes to the bathroom door and pulls Beth from her thoughts.

"Jees can't a person use the bathroom?" Beth tries to say without sounding like she's breaking. She stands and opens the door.

"Hav' you been cryin'? Honey are ya okay?" Maggie steps closer and Beth jumps past her and down the hallway. She doesn't know what to do. If she tells Maggie she's pregnant, Maggie will force her to tell her who. Then Beth could have two options, lie and say it was one of Father Gabriel's psychotic men or the truth, which would cause Maggie to kill Daryl, after she and he had their silent revelation of never speaking about that night again. Beth makes her way outside and to the cars that the group stole from Terminus.

Rick, Tyreese, and Glenn are all huddled by the tailgate of the double doored Ford F150. Beth sees Carl holding Judith and talking with Carol, while Bob and Sasha were coming from a shed out back. It was nice having them all back, but secretly Beth started liking it only being her and Daryl. Not to mention Carol was back in the picture of options for the redneck.

Beth shook her head. I ain't gettin' jealous! I don't even like him that way, even if I am carryin' his baby! Her body language however is sending different messages to the entirety of the group. The way her face brightens up when she sees Daryl coming around, or the unintentional glares she gives when any of the women, Carol especially, is around him; everyone is putting Beth's puzzle together, by the pieces she's been putting on the table. For Daryl, however, emotions were back to normal. He retorted any emotion other than aggression or anger. He's gone quieter than normal and everyone feels he's secretly having break downs. Beth feels him shutting down instead if being the normal "lets go kill something" redneck he was.

"Hey Beth, can you take Judith, I have to go help Daryl load some more supplies in the cars." Without hesitation, she grabs the baby and bounces her. She's missed this baby, in a way, her baby. She hates thinking of Judith as hers, but in all honesty, she's the one who raised her more than anyone. She can't resist leaning her nose and chin agains the child's hair and taking in her familiar scent. Judith lays against Beth's chest, content and also feeling home.
