Part Eight

Everything has been going great for the group. Rebecca and Hunter are now five months old and everyone has forgotten their problems. The walker counts have been going down and supplies have been in abundance. Daryl and Beth have been happier since the babies have arrived. Maggie however has turned slightly sour in Daryl's eyes. Beth doesn't see it, but boy does everyone else saw it clean as a brick wall.

It's not so much that Maggie is mad about the babies as she is jealous. Glenn even told Daryl once that Maggie jumped him in bed, trying to get pregnant. It shocked Daryl. Maggie was against pregnancy because of the possible "Lori Effect" as they say behind Rick and Carl's back. Yet Maggie, in everyone's eyes has been trying way to hard to have a baby.

"It's jus' not fair Glenn. Why is it they can have a baby, twins at that, not even love each other, have sex, which is a sin, and have healthy babies, and WE can't!" Maggie lays on her bed irritated and fuming as she peeks across the hall at the twins sitting with Judith in a play pen, while Beth reads her book Daryl found her.

"Sometimes, God works mysterious ways." Glenn says as he slides his boots on.

"Close the door." Maggie says demandingly.

"Oh no, Maggie, I love you, but I don't think I have it in me. I mean, you think you'd be pregnant by now. We've done it like fifty times in just the past two days. If we're counting weeks, it'd be about a thousand and one." Glenn slinks to the door and Maggie jumps in front of him so he can't escape.

"So you're saying you think I'm infertile?"

"No that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying I think we should wait. Maybe you are pregnant and we just don't know it yet." Reasoning with her has been getting tougher. Maggie scowls at him in displeasure.

"What if it's you! What if I'm fertile and you're not!?" Glenn starts getting irritated with her and walks out. Maggie calls for him again. "Glenn!"

Sitting down on the bed Maggie doesn't want to deal with her "failure". Head in her hands, Beth walks in.

"Hey I'm going out on a run with Michone and Carl. Daryl is watching the kids, can you check in on him every so often. I trust him, I just feel like he might need help." Maggie looks up hopeful.

"Yeah, I can do that for ya. When will you be back?"

"I don't know it will probably take a few hours. Glenn's coming too as a gunman, just incase. I better go. Thanks again." Beth sprints down the hallway and shuts the door behind her. Everyone else was outside doing gardening or watching the fences.

It hits Maggie. She feels devilish and terrible for thinking of this plan, but she's desperate. She runs into the kitchen and digs around until she hears a clink. She grabs two big bottles of Jack Daniels Whiskey. Grabbing a dark water bottle, she fills it up with the whiskey and water. Shaking it to excess, she takes a sip. The whiskey is now tasting deluded and watery. Walking back to Beth's room she sees Daryl sitting down on the floor watching one of the babies tumble and roll. He looks up to her gaze.

"Hi." He doesn't take time to please the scornful woman.

"I thought you might like something to drink. The taps been acting funny, so it tastes a lil odd today." Daryl graciously takes the bottle and takes a long swig.

"Does taste funny. Anyway thank ya." He drinks some more and Maggie soon finds that it doesn't take him long to get plastered. She guides him over to her room and sits him on the bed. "Wah-ta aer we do-in?"

"Nothin' you won't enjoy." She slips his shirt off and then hers. He hiccups through a yawn. Unzipping his pants, Maggie sees why Beth was so keen to have sex with him. "My my Daryl Dixon, you are a fascinatin' specimen of man."

"Ain't Nuffin'. Where's Beth-eeee?" He tries to sit up but she tilts him back again and slips his pants down just below his knees and slides down her pants and off her legs. "Wah, wait. Wah-ta bout Bethhhh?"

"You really think she's gonna care? When's the last time she touched you?"

Maggie straddles him and slides him inside her.

"Tha-ta does't matter. She oves mee." Maggie ignores his drunken blabbering and starts grinding on him. He can't help but naturally moan at the action taking place on his dick. She picks up pace and pounds harder down on him. He's so inebriated that he can't see anything. "It's soo, blurry in here! Can we turn-na down tha blurr-iedness?"

"Jus' shut up!" Maggie says through hollow moans and breathing. She's so close to her climax she can feel it. Daryl, he can feel is getting close also. She pumps harder down on him and can feel his build. Knowing he's talking too much she pours more Whiskey in his mouth, which he almost drowns in. "Ohhh, Ahhhhhh! Oh My God!!! Ahhh Yes! Yes! Yes!" She finally comes, But Daryl does not. He's out cold. To make matters worse, Glenn, Beth, and Michone all stand in the door way, shocked, hurt, pissed off.

"MAGGIE!!" Glenn and Beth yell simultaneously. Maggie declines off her orgasm and slides off of Daryl's member.

"How could you!" Beth screams as she runs into Daryl and taps his face. "He smells like a distillery! Did you get him so drunk that he passed out? What the Fuck is wrong with you!?" Beth gets up in Maggie's face. Maggie is whiter than computer paper that's fresh from the machine.

"Glenn! I'm so sorry!!" Maggie starts to cry and she goes to hug him, but he walks away leaving her to her vises an to the mercy of Beth. She turns around to face Beth as she says, "I'm so sorr..."

Beth punches her straight in the face and runs out and into her room to three crying babies. Michone just stands there glaring at Maggie. HmShe turns and leaves as Maggie tries to explain. Soon Tyreese an Rick come to the room and drag Daryl into Beth's room so he can work off his drunken coma.

No one talks to Maggie or even looks at her. Even Carol shows signs of disapproval as she flops a piece of rabbit on Maggie's plate or dinner. Beth, who hasn't left Daryl's side since he was placed in their room, mumbles angry statements about her back stabbing bitch of a sister. No one has seen Glenn since the start of this. They all figure he will probably lose his marbles even more if he tries to listen to Maggie's absurd reasoning.

They all want her to sulk in her guilt. To feel bound to this sin she has now come bound too.

No one was talking to her. Daryl is still passed out, almost dead drunk. Beth worries that he won't wake up. That this pushed his kidneys over the edge. She knows his alcohol content is probably quadrupled because she found the two empty whiskey bottles in the trash.

"Please wake up Daryl! I need you!" She cries over and over into his shoulder as she just waits or a sign if life besides just his heart beating.
