Chapter 18: Mason?

"Kai, Kai, Kai, please wake up. We need your help. Please forgive me."

I hear faintly before I sense something coming at me and fast making me shift and grabbing the fist coming at me. I let out a warning growl making Stiles fall back and start to crawl away from me. Seeing that it's just Stiles I shift back and ask him what the hell he was thinking.

"I did this with Derek once and he almost did the same thing. I mean he didn't try to kill me, but he stopped me just the same."

"You're an idiot."

"I'm your idiot."

He says with a goofy smile making me smile as well before asking him what happened. He looks over to my right where I see a really cut up Liam lying next to me. Stiles goes on to explain how Liam went after the beast and I went after Liam just in time to catch his fall, but he knocked me hard enough to where I knocked out.

Nodding my head he helps me up before Hayden comes over to us asking about Liam. Telling both Hayden and Stiles to grab Liam we all make our way in the school where the beast is as we find an empty classrom to help Liam. Stiles yells for me to clear the desk which I do and then turn motioning for Stiles to hand Liam over as we place him on the table.

"Liam?"

"I'm okay. I'm fine."

He says as we rip his lacrosse jersey open showing a very bad, very disgusting cut and I feel Stiles move back making me grab his arm forcing him to look at me. I warn him not to pass out or I will kill him to which he just nods. Liam then asks if it's bad to which Hayden and I tell him no and Stiles tell him very. Slapping Stiles arm I just tell him to shut up.

"Okay. Okay. What do you guys usually do when this happens?"

"Oh, I usually pass out. And I think I still might do that."

Stiles says making me look at him in concern, but also glare at him because I need him to not pass out on us right now. Stiles almost passes out making both Hayden and I yell his name. He comes back too as he starts explaining about pain and how pain makes you human.

"He's already in pain."

"Right, okay, but maybe adding a little more could help take away the pain."

"Take away his pain."

I whisper more to myself then out loud as I place my hand on his arm and focus except it doesn't work. I can't take away his pain and I don't know why. Liam starts screaming as Hayden whispers the same thing I did before kissing him and taking his pain.

Why didn't it work for me, but for her? Shaking my head I'm just glad that he is okay when Stiles makes a comment on how next time he will just kiss him. Shaking my head I tell him to go get Liam some new clothes as I go to find Scott and see if he's okay. Stiles nods but reminds me to be safe to which I do the same to him. He quickly kisses me before we both head our separate ways.

I listen for the grunts when I see Scott get thrown into a wall. Running over to him I make it just in time to see the Beast run another direction. I ask Scott if he is okay, but instead of answering me he shifts and runs after the beast. Shaking my head I shift as well before following after him.

I lost them both for a quick second before I catch Scott's scent again and follow that instead. I feel like I have been running forever but I don't find Scott instead I find a girl who is staring straight at the door. Hearing the beast roar I push her in the nearest classroom and I was about to shut the door before I feel myself being pushed in as well and the door shut.
