Chapter 1

Tris Pov

"Tris wake up, tris" Tobias was shaking me. I roll on my side to look at the time 8:05 we have to get ready to train the initiates "Tris it's choosing day you have 20 minutes to get ready"
I get out of bed pull on a black tank top, black leather jacket, black jeans, and high top black converse. We leave Tob-our apartment not official yet but I don't mind . We leave hand in hand run into the cafeteria grab a chocolate chip muffin and sprint to the net. We finish our muffins just before Max starts speaking. "You get to be 6 today" Tobias says just as the first jumper in Erudite blue falls into the net. Male. His eyes meet mine as I help him out of the net "name?" I ask "you only get to choose once so choose wisely." Repeating what Tobias told me. "Dan" the male says "Four, care to do the honors?" He nods "FIRST JUMPER, DAN ERUDITE." Tobias shouts and then I remember the reason why I choose dauntless. Once all the chaos was gone we got a final tally. Christina and Will would be taking the Dauntless born and Tobias and I are taking the transfers. Uriah was working the control room with Marlene, Peter was guarding the fence Lynn, Shauna, and Zeke all got state jobs. Transfers- we got 9 this year, Erudite(2)- Dan, Liz, Candor(3)- Nichole, Amy, Sean, Amity(3)- Christopher, Kayla, Rick, Abnegation(1)- Zach..."This is Four and I am Six-" before I can continue I am cut off by Amy "Like the numbers?" "Yes, and if I wanted to deal with candor smart mouths I would have joined there faction" Tobias states making everyone jump back. "continue six." "thank you four, today you get your tour of dauntless tomorrow you start you're training at 7 sharp " I hear wales like there sleep deprived baby's. We finish the tour at the chasm. "The Chasm reminds us that there is a fine line between bravery and idiocy" Tobias says "One daredevil stunt can cost you you're life" I remark "It has happened before it will happen again!"
