Chapter 7

It was now time to go to science class, which thank god, because I get to sit next to Grayson.
"Hey gray"
"Hey Alex, I was wondering what you wanted to do for our first date?"
He said playing around with a pencil in his hair.
"I'm honestly good with whatever, don't over think it gray"

GRAYSON'S POV:
I honestly don't know what to do for our date. But I was thinking about a drive in? Some jumanji movie just came out and I honestly think Alex would watch that.
"Fine, how about a drive in?"
"Ooo that sounds fun!!"
***End of science class***
"I'LL PICK YOU UP BY 7!"
"SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN!"
We screamed across the street from each other making us look like crazy neighbors.

ALEX'S POV:
I walked into my house to see my little brother eating the last chocolate bar as my mom was watching the t.v.
"Hey sweetie how was school?"
"It was great, aren't you going to work?"
"Yes i was just waiting for you to come
so I didn't have to leave Jason home alone."
"Actually I have plans at 7 do you think you can drop him off at aunt Tina's?"
"Sure sweetie, COME ON JASON YOU'RE GOING TO TINA'S"
"Thanks, love you mom."
"Alright you be careful"
she said grabbing Jason's back pack and walking him out the door.

A few hours have passed by and it was time for me to get ready for my date with gray. I took a shower then put on my silk robe to pick out my outfit, and do my makeup. I chose to wear something comfy since we were gonna go to a drive in. I wore a yellow sweatshirt and some distressed boyfriend jeans with my slip on vans. (Outfit at the top) I braided my hair in the messiest way possible. I heard the door knock and assumed it was Grayson. I opened it and there he was. My knight in shining armor.
"Wow, you look great Alex."
His eyes Widened right when I opened the door.
"Thanks gray, not too shabby yourself." We laughed it off and made our way to the drive in.
"So what movie are we watching?" I was really curious to know because I'm very picky with my movies.
"Um I don't know it's called jumanji something."
At that time, my stomach dropped.
"You mean...jumanji into the woods?"
"Yeah that one! It looks like a funny movie."
"It is....and I know because it's the movie that ethan watched with a "stupid girl"..."

GRAYSON'S POV:
I hate myself.
"Oh I'm sorry... I didn't mean to put you in a bad mood."
"It's okay we can just watch something else." I can tell her mood had changed.
"Well...that new Steven kings movie "IT" just came out. We could watch that?"
"Sure but I'm warning you now that I WILL JUMP. So expect me to be holding you in about 5 seconds into the movie hahaha."
I. Can't. Wait. I like her a lot and I just really hope she realizes that when she's with me, she's safe.
"Wanna listen to some music?"
"Sure but I'm picking it haha."
I honestly wanted her to pick out the song because I can hear the music coming out of her room every morning when I walk my way to school. And i have to say...her music taste is A1.
"Do you listen to kid cudi?" WHAT.
"Alex, been there and STILL doing that."
"Whatever haha I'm playing enter galactic."
We sang along and it made me fall even deeper in love with her.
***skipping the car ride***
We set up some blankets on the bed of my truck (the trunk basically) and laid there watching the movie while eating sour gummy worms.
"Grayson stop letting go of me oh my goddd!" I held her tight and kissed her head.
"It's fine Alex,it's all make believe haha."
"So? It's still really scary." She looked away and laid her head on my chest every time a pop up would happen.
She kept it there for a while and at this point I thought she was dead. I heard the smallest most cutest snore ever. She fell asleep. She's an angel. I couldn't help but think, i want this to last forever. to have her close to me, make her feel safe. 20 minutes go by and the movies over.
"Wake up Alex the movies over, you feel asleep through it hahaha"
"Oh I'm sorry! i got really scared and then i felt really comfy around you."
We got on our knees to pick up any trash we had left and put it in a bag, before she could get up I grabbed her hand.

ALEX'S POV:
He was looking into my eyes and back down to my lips. It felt like dejavu. I knew what he wanted. 3 seconds later our lips had been crashing into each other. He laid on top of me without breaking the kiss. We were probably doing this for a minute.
He let go and looked into my eyes and said the words...
"I love you." He smiled and I could feel my heart beating faster than a second.
I knew I loved Grayson, but I just couldn't admit it to him. Not yet.
"We should probably get going."
"Yeah you're right." We got off his trunk and got into the car.
We drove up to his driveway and stood in front of his house door.
"Thanks for tonight gray. I'm sorry I slept through it though, I'll make it up to you."
"How about a goodnight kiss?"
"Fine." i chuckled and before i knew it, We were kissing as the door opened. ETHAN was standing there.
"Um.." he cleared his throat and continued his sentence.
"Mom wants you inside, she mad you didn't close gizmos cage."
"Dang it, I have to go. I'll text you later!" He made his way inside and now it was only Ethan and I.
"So uh..how was the date?" I could tell He was broken inside. I couldn't bare the thought. I felt bad.
"It was great. Im really sorry about all this."
"Please don't apologize. This is my fault and I shouldn't of had EVER treated you the way I did..." he grabbed my hands and looked right into my eyes.
"If you and gray weren't together, I would make it up to you. I love you." Tears started forming into his eyes and I could feel the same happening to mine.
"I um should probably get going." I walked away for the second time. Not realizing what i may have just lost.
