Chapter 4

Friday night/ ETHANS POV:
Gray and I have been trying to make things right between Alex and us. So we tried our best to keep our friends away from Alex. Anyways, today is Friday, after school, and I'm going on a date with Alex!

GRAYSON'S POV:
I noticed Ethan has been really excited today and I have no idea why.
"Yo E, what's up with you today?" I said
"Oh well I'm uh just going to a movie with some girl...don't worry about it."
"So it's a date?" I was confused cause I have never seen Ethan try and settle down with someone.
"I don't know dude. Stop asking all these questions." It's WIERD of Ethan to not tell me what's up.
"Alright then. Hey I'm going over to Alex's place see if she wants to do homework...I could honestly use the help. haha."

ETHAN'S POV:
I didn't want Grayson knowing that I was going on a date with Alex. I have a gut feeling Grayson is gonna get upset and turn on me.
"Alright then. Hey I'm going over to Alex's place. See if she wants to do homework. I could honestly use the help. Haha." I had to stop Grayson from going over there without making it weird.
"Oh um...she texted me! Said that if we needed anything...that she uhh..wasn't home! So don't bother." I tried to keep it cool without making things suspicious.
"Well I have to go or I'll be late. Later gray!" I said walking past Grayson while he was walking himself upstairs with an apple in his mouth.
"Later E!"

ALEX'S POV:
So today's my "hang out" with E. I honestly don't know what to call it.
We're going to a movie so I decided to dress casual but not too casual. I put on some black high waste jeans, a black halter top, black shoes, and to top it all off; a maroon open cardigan. (Pic at top) I really don't know why I'm nervous. I guess I never expected to be close to the twins after the incident at lunch. *knock knock* I heard a knock on the door and looked through the window to see Ethan standing there.
"Hey Ethan, let me just grab my keys real quick." I said with a smile trying not to show my true colors...basically my emotions.

ETHANS POV:
Alex opened the door and I could feel my jaw drop. She looked beautiful.
"Hey Ethan, let me just grab my keys real quick." Her mom was at work and wasn't going to be back till 12. Same with her dad. so her and her brother have the house to themselves.
"So jumanji...sounds like an interesting movie. Is it the video game or the board game?" I said acting as if I've never heard or seen the movie before.
"It's based on the video game! It looks really funny and I thought it'd be a great choice for us to watch!" Even if I've already seen the film, I'm re watching that shiz for her. We got in the car and as I turned the ignition on, Alex already had her hand on the radio.
"I call dibs on the radio station!"

ALEX'S POV:
I don't know why but I have the tendency to have my hand on the radio even before the car is turned on. Movements by Pham started playing so I left it at that. Right when we realized what was playing, E and I had been bumping the music before the lyrics.
'That body's a blessing girl. I ain't trynna pressure her...'

ETHANS POV:
'No no no no' we said as we made a "no" movement with our hands.
'But she messed with the temperature , heart wrote the song but I am the messenger' I stopped singing a long and just listened to Alex's voice. Something about her made me feel happy.
"Hahaha gosh I love this song. Let me check what's on 98.7." How dare she switch stations???

ALEX'S POV:
As I was switching stations, I heard a snippet of "let's get lost" so I switched it back real quick.
"OH MY GOOOOSHH G-EAZY IS MY FAVORITE RAPPER. AND I LOVE THIS SONG!!" I yelled in excitement
"Then go ahead ahaha" Ethan said , letting me know that it was okay for me to sing along.
' take me down, take me all the way down tonight, soon I'll be leaving. Break me down break me all the way down before, the night is over. Let's get lost let's get lo-o-oo-st'

ETHANS POV:
I had no idea Alex could sing. She has an angelic voice. She probably sings this song better than Devon herself.
She kept singing along and we had finally gotten to the movie theater.
"Sorry dude, the movies starting soon so we can't stay in the car till the song ends ahaha." I said while laughing because I know the struggle myself.
"That's fine Dolan" with a smile on her face that's contagious; making you feel fuzzy inside. I got out my car and open the door for her.
"Ma'lady" as I was smiling holding out my hand.
"Thank you Dolan" she said with a small giggle.
(During the movie)****
Throughout the movie I couldn't help but just look at Alex when she would laugh. I could care less about the film. But there was so many scenes that were really funny that we would laugh together. Dang, I think I like her.

ALEX'S POV:
So the movies over and I honestly think that E and I will become something more than friends. Soon. But it'll take some time. I wanna take things slow to get the friendship really going.
"So Alex uh do you think that maybe we could do this sometime again?" Ethan said as he was filling his cup with fro-yo.
"Sure! I'm down for movies and fro-yo ANYTIME hahaha"

ETHANS POV:
I really wanted to get to know Alex more so that's why I decided on ending the night with fro-yo. I payed for our fro-yo even though Alex insisted on paying for herself, I had to basically force her to let me pay. We made our way outside so that we could walk and talk.
"So tell me more about your self Alex, anything, I'm all ears" I said while dipping my spoon into my fro-yo.
"Well my brother Jason is 12, my mom and dad work at the same place as doctor and nurse assistant, it's basically how they met. Ummm what else..oh back from where I was born I wasn't the most loved at my school." She said as her smile went away , a frown had formed and she had been shoving froyo into her mouth.
"Would you rather not talk about it?" I said trying to let her know that it's okay if she's not ready.
"Yeah that'd probably be better. So anyways my favorite color is any color in the warm tone area...and I used to sing but now I've just been really busy dealing with a lot of things, I haven't really been able to work on it." I was honestly surprised. By the sound of her voice in the car...I'd beg to differ.
"Are you serious? You sang let's get lost waaaaayyy better than Devon Baldwin. Don't worry, you sound great." I said as she blushed and looked down.
"Thank you Ethan haha. We should probably get going. It's getting late."
"Alright, first one to the car chooses the radio station!" Even if it's dangerous to be running on the parking lot, we still did it while being cautious.
"HA! GOT HERE FIRST DOLAN!" I could here her yelling a few cars down to mine.
"I'm impressed." As We laughed, We got in the car and sang along to redbone, the hills, and day n' night. I parked in front of my house and walked Alex to her house.
"I had a really great time E." I think I'm gonna ask her out on the next date.
"Me too, maybe next time we could watch a movie here and eat pizza or something."

ALEX'S POV:
"Sure! See you tomorrow. " I gave him a quick peck on the cheek as a thank you. I went upstairs to my room to get comfy. I got into the shower and then got into my pj's.

ETHAN'S POV:
I went inside my house with a big smile on my face. Grayson and Aaron were on the couch sitting looking at me.
"What's up E, why are you smiling like an idiot?" Aaron said laughing.
"He went on a date with a girl haha."
"Shut up gray." I knew that if Aaron or any of the guys would know about this, they would twist things up with Alex.
"Oh really....well who was it?" I knew I had to tell them so that they knew to stop bothering Alex.
"It was Alex. We went to a movie and then got fro-yo." I said nervously
"You mean the new girl? I don't believe it. You're dating the new girl. Ethan Dolan. Dating some lame girl?" I knew I had to lie.
"Yo chill, we aren't dating and it wasn't a date. It meant nothing it was just a stupid movie with a stupid girl haha."
"Yo E, I have an idea...see you guys Monday!" Aaron said as he grabbed his Hoodie and walked out the door.
"So it wasn't a date?" Grayson asked
"Nope. Night gray." I walked upstairs and got ready for bed. I decided to text Alex a few plans for tomorrow.

ALEX'S POV:
I decided to get on my phone and saw that Ethan had texted me.
Ethan 💙: hey, I can't wait for tomorrow. I had a great time tonight. Get a good night sleep. Tomorrow me, you, hiking. 5 a.m before the sun rises haha sorry but surprise! :)
I'm sorry but 5 in the morning to hike? Ridiculous. But I'm down to see the sun rise.
me: what the heck Ethan!! Haha that's early as heck! But I'll see you at 5 :/.
I set my alarm to 5 a.m and went to sleep.
