(Y/n)'s Point of View

After flooding me with compliments and endless questions, the paladins decided I deserved a "well-earned" breakfast. I mean it was just training but to them it was like I defeated the entire galra empire. I only wanted to go back to my room and knock out on my bed but these guys had other plans. They dragged me out into the dining room and sat me down. Later Hunk and Coran came in with what seemed to be edible green goo. I lifted up my nose in disgust.

"It tastes better than it looks. Trust me." said Hunk as he served me my plate and observed my expression.

"I hope so, thanks Hunk."

Although it was breakfast, I was far too tired from training. I was too tired to even eat. I picked up my utensil and moved the goo around on my plate. Leaning my cheek onto my bruised palm, letting everyone have their own conversations. I felt a little left out, but I didn't mind, as my eyes were becoming heavy-lidded and I could feel myself drifting away to sleep. Not even paying attention to my surroundings anymore.

Just as I'm about to give into darkness, my head slips from the grasp of my hand.

Thump.

I fell face down onto the hard surface. Hitting my head pretty hard on the impact. The whole table shook.

I slowly lift up my head and grab my forehead. Only wincing in pain after feeling the already forming bruise.

"Ow." I grunted.

I didn't realize that the whole table had gotten dead silent. All eyes glued towards me. Frozen in their positions. I felt my face heat up instantly. Knowing that they saw that whole thing, I rose up from my seat.

"I-I'm gonna go f-fix up this." I stutter waving towards my forehead.

Before anyone could say or ask anything, I quickly got the hell out of there. I lean against a wall in one of the corridors.

I cover my face with my hand and groan. How embarrassing. It's only been what? Two days? -and I'm already a klutz. I don't know why they were impressed with me in the first place. Ugh, idiot.

I hear the door to the dining room swish open, and out comes Shiro. Damn it. He looks over and finds me leaning against the hard metal wall. Please don't head over here. He begins to walk towards me. Shit.

"(Y/n)? You doing okay? That was a pretty rough hit." he chuckles.

"Hm? Oh! Uh yeah, it still hurts but I can handle it, I was heading over to my room to go fix it up."

"What were you doing leaning against the wall then?"

"Uhm- I-" I felt my face heat up once more. I couldn't tell him how embarrassed I felt.

"I...I'm just gonna go to my room."

I turn my heel and walk along the hallway, shutting him out completely. Before he could say anything as he saw me walking down the hallway, the pain came back. The whispers. The commands. The voice. I collapse onto the floor with the pain searing into my head.

"Aghh-..no" I grunted weakly. Each throb in my head getting heavier than the last.

"(Y/n)?!" Shiro said in alarm. He began to run over to me only for me to weakly put my arm up and face my palm towards him to stop him.

"D-don't get any- hnn! c-closer." I muttered.

He grunted in frustration.

"But (Y/-" before he finished my body began to glow. An excruciating pain far worse than any I've ever experienced erupted from my entire body. The core points being in my head and on the legs. Something is burning. It felt like every inch of my being was slowly roasting alive. My body began to float from above the ground and releasing an eerie black glow. My chest floated upwards as if I was being exorcized. I begin to scream from all the torment happening in my body. It was all too much to process.
