Cancer
I awoke from the nightmare I had every night. I was sweating and breathing slowly and heavily. My covers were on the ground, were I must've thrown them off my bed. After my breathing calmed down I slipped off my bed and opened my window, I glanced at my clock to find it was 3:00 am. I leaned on the windowsill with my elbows and rested my head on my hands. Sighing, I stared up at the star filled sky and relived my dream. I was seventeen years old, when I'd been eight I'd been diagnosed with cancer. It was caught in time, thankfully but ever since I've had nightmares about the pain I'd gone through. I didn't even tell my bestfriends about it, I did trust them but they might treat me differently because of it. I climbed back on my bed and stared up at the ceiling, I picked up my phone and went on one of the few social websites I was on,Quotev. My bestfriend, Frank, was online.
'? Another sleepless night Scar?' he messaged me, my name was actually Scarlet but the guys called me Scar. 'Yeah that's what coffee is for' I replied 'You're gonna kill yourself' 'You're one to talk, what r u doi,g here???' 'Just finished practising for when we go to the recording studio on Sunday, I wasn't tired, I came here' 'YOU GUYS R GOING TO THE STUDIO!?!?' 'Yes....why?' '....No reason' 'You wanna come don't you?' 'YES!!!' 'Cool, Ray will pick u and the others up around 11 ish on Sunday, I'm taking my motorbike' 'You'll be late again' 'Probably....hey I'm tired, talk tomorrow' 'K...goodnight' 'Night...:-)'. After awhile of taking quizzes I put my phone away and tried to think of what the guys new songs would be like. They always had awesome songs and they always had a meaning, of course they'd written many songs before but had only only recorded in a studio twice before. Their first song 'Vampires will never hurt you' was in my opinion, their best song yet, but they were working on their newest album 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge'. I must've fallen asleep because when I opened my eyes again the sun light was beaming through my window and my clock said 9:27am. I rolled out of bed and walked slowly downstairs. My brother, Shawn, was already sitting at the kitchen table, a bowl of cereal set in front of him. "You didn't sleep did you?" he asked "Don't speak until I get my coffee" I mumbled sleepily.
