Hermione's POV:
Hermione was getting dressed up because, well, this was an important event. Everyone had to attend in formal, yet casual wear. Also, she wanted to impress Ron... Hermione was wearing a simple knee-high light blue dress with normal blue high heels. Her hair was down in it's curly way as usual and she smiled at the mirror.
"Hopefully..." She mumbled to herself, still smiling.
"Hermione, are you ready?" Ginny called from the closed door and knocked. "Come in Ginny." Hermione opened the door.
Ginny was wearing a similar outfit but she her outfit was light purple. In fact, almost every girl going were wearing similar outfits to Ginny and Hermione. Even the boys would look the same as the other boys.
"It's down in our Common Room, and we better go, it's starting to fill up." Ginny smiled as they walked down the stairs slowly. "I really hope that Harry asks me today..." She sighed. "Ginny, don't worry about it. I'm very sure he's going to ask you." Hermione smiled. She looked around the almost full room for Ron and spotted him, talking to Harry next to the snack table.
Ron's POV:
Ron spotted Hermione and Ginny coming down the stairs. "Bloody Hell...." He nudged Harry. "Woah... They look better than we do." was Harry's only response.
"Well of course, they're girls. They go overboard about parties, or so I heard." Ron smiled as Hermione and Ginny walked over to them.
"Should I ask Ginny right now?" Harry was looking at Ginny. "Do it Harry. But no snogging." Ron laughed. Harry's face went as red as Ginny's hair. "Shut up Ron..." He said before walking towards Ginny.
Hermione walked over to Ron, who seemed even more pretty than she'd ever been, according to Ron. "Hello Hermione." He smiled. Why couldn't he say something else? He'd lost his courage when he'd seen how even more beautiful she was when she was dressed up for a party like this.
"Congratulaltions Ron, with the Quidditch victory." Hermione smiled at him.
"Oh yeah, thanks. Uh, Hermione, I've been meaning to ask you something...." Hermione beamed when he said that. "Really? What is it?" Ron was about to ask Hermione about the Yule ball when the whole room broke out into cheers.
Both Hermione and Ron made it to the front to see what was happening. Ginny was crying with joy in Harry's arms and her face was clearly red with embarrassment. Harry was grinning from ear to ear. It was obvious that Harry had asked Ginny to the dance.
"Nice job Harry!" Ron clapped Harry on the shoulder.
Ginny was talking to Hermione, squealing and talking fast. Hermione simply grinned at Ginny. "You're very excited, aren't you?" She asked. Ginny nodded, still crying with tears of joy.
The cheers and joyment was back down to normal. That's when Ron caught Hermione again to talk about the Yule Ball. "Hermione!" Ron called as hermione turned around. "I think I should ask you what I wanted to before..."
But, once again, yes, once again, he was inturrupted by people lifting him. He could see the other Quidditch players being lifted too. "I'll talk to you later Hermione!" Ron called out as they carried the Quidditch players to the front. This was going to be a tough night. Hopefully no one would ask Hermione before he did. But, he was wrong....
Oh my pandas guys, HE WAS WRONG. bum bum bum..... Lol. So anywaysies, I FINISHED THE 2nd CHAPTER IN THE SAME DAY. Hallelujah!!! So yeah.... I'm working on the Third chapter.
