Harry's POV (A new one!):
Harry, Ginny, and everyone had just gotten back from Hogsmeade and were back at Hogwarts. Harry had his arm around Ginny and was talking to the others. They were laughing about the games that they had before. The embarrassing and fun moments.
Within a few minutes, they had reached back to the Common Room. The portrait hole was open but the room was quiet. Everyone in the group quieted down. Harry noticed something.
Hermione was looking furious at someone who had blood on thier face. "You will not talk about my friend like that!" She pointed a shaking finger and her voice wavered.
Harry slowly walked over. "Whats happening-"
"HE TALKED ABOUT RON LIKE HE WAS A COWARD. I'm warning you Jacob.... You dare say another word about Ron and I will-"
"Hermione, calm down." Harry interrupted
Hermione looked at Harry then back at Jacob before turning away and running out the portrait hole. Ginny came over. "I hope she's okay..."
Hermione's POV:
Hermione felt tears falling down her face when she stopped outside. The Common Room filled with whispers and then everyone resumed talking. The music started up again and Hermione started running down the stairs. Suddenly, it started moving. She stopped until it stopped moving. "Hermione!" Someone called out.
Hermione ran as she fast as she could. Quickly, she turned the corner and into the Girl's Bathroom. She could hear the footsteps run by.
After a few minutes of making sure no one was around, Hermione walked out slowly and looked around. She thought her hopes were gone with Ron and the Yule Ball. She thought the courtyard would be the best way to forget about everything. Hermione sighed and walked towards the empty Viaduct Courtyard.**
It was empty and she climbed up the tree, looking up at the stars. Hermione smiled, she loved the stars, she'd taken Astronomy and studied the constellations. Her mom and her used to sit outside every night and search for the constellations when she was younger. It gave her a lot of memories.
Ron's POV:
Ron ran around Hogwarts, looking for Hermione. He wanted to ask her to the Ball at last but she had disappeared. He sighed, thinking his hopes were gone with her forever.
"Ron, come back. Everyone's waiting for you." Lavender's voice echoed in the hallways.
He turned around and saw Lavender. "I'm sorry Lavender. I can't."
"Why? What happened Ron?" She asked, holding his hand.
Ron took his hand away. "I can't go to the ball with you, sorry Lavender. I have feelings for someone else ok?" He looked at his hand.
Lavender's eyes teared up. "But-"
"I told Lavender. It's not going to work out. Plus, the crying is not working on me." Ron shrugged and looked at her.
"FINE!" Lavender stormed off, sniffing.
Ron shook his head and walked off to the courtyard, thinking no one was there. He sat under the same tree as Hermione and looked up at the stars. He, on the other hand couldn't make out the constellations. Suddenly he saw a small little flash of light blue and realized it was Hermione. Quickly, he grinned and took out his wand.
Hermione's POV:
Hermione smiled up at the constellations, she moved a little to sit up. She climbed a branch higher because she thought she saw the stars move. She could see the stars from into "Hermione" before she saw something else coming towards her. Then she realized it was a dementor.
Hermione didn't have time to react, it came towards her and she screamed. It started to suck the soul out of her, like other Dementors do. She couldn't move, she couldn't do a thing.
Ron didn't see at first. But then he heard Hermione scream. He got up and he backed away from the tree. He took out his wand but not too quickly enough. Another one appeared.
Yeah guys.... Sorry. I need to hook people on. Otherwise, no one will read. *shrug* But you will definitely like the other chapters. Feel free to comment!!! :)
**The Viaduct Courtyard is a courtyard that is available for all students from all houses. It's available for anyone at Hogwarts unlike the other courtyards.
